m-485,n-1089 and n-749 clarification

http://www.bandai.com/naruto/showthread.php?t=79444&highlight=m-485
Here you said that "The Mission does not affect the Ninjas but rather the player" but here http://www.bandai.com/naruto/showthread.php?t=96777&highlight=m-485 you sain otherwise. What changed or is there some minor wording that i cannot see?

Thank you.
Nigel.

From this I would asume that i earlier respond would be correct.
(UPDATE ADDED 12/17/10) CANNOT BE AFFECTED Clarification in regard to effects that affect the player.
o Some effects force a player to perform an act, such as discarding 1 of their Ninjas.
o Ninjas that cannot be affected by effects or are unaffected by opponent's effect do not stop these types of effects, because they aren't being directly affected.
o This means that while those Ninjas will not be affected but something like: "Injure 1 of your opponent's Ninjas", they will be affected by something like: "Your opponent injures 1 of their Ninjas.", assuming that they choose a Ninja they have with such an effect.

Use the most recent ruling.

Thanks again for answer.

Just to be sure, with father and Mother(m1089) in play, having only Sand ninjas. Effect like this http://www.bandai.com/naruto/cardlis...ail.php?c=n691
does NOT work?(or any similar effects)

n1089 will protect Sand Ninjas from m485 because m485 does not affect the player, it affects Ninjas. n1089 will not protect Ninjas from n691 because n691 affects players.
