I see only a couple familiar names in there. Sounds like it would have been a lot of fun meeting new people and playing interesting decks. Hope you guys get one next quarter and there's no conflict on my end.

To make you more jealous, there were a couple of people who couldn't sign in. (I know at least 4) and the tournament it ended at close to 11. If you were to come you all would have had to get a hotel, right?

I hope so too, it was super duper fun! And I would love to meet you and other people.

Yeah but it was a hollow victory (if 7th is considered victory, I like to think it is) since I faced my teammates in round 1, 2 and 4. I hope we are able to too, it'd be an awesome road trip with some friends but we would have to planned out extensively.

I live about 45 min-1 hour from San Jose, so I've both commuted and stayed overnight for FanimeCon. It is super awesome, but then again I travel to tons of cons every year.

What do you mean not able to sign in? Everyone should be allowed to play.

11 is pretty late. Should start at 11 next time. I can drive back that late, but it isn't preferable.

Well, some people were late or just didn't make it. One guy, Tylor, just wanted to play a different card game. I guessed "didn't" would have been a better word.

11 is pretty early though, I don't know if we have early risers in our group.

11 is pretty late. AnimeExpo started at 9. I'm used to 10 am registration for anything Chunin or above. Honestly, anything after 12 is asking for issues if you consider 5-6 rounds with a cut to top 8, deck checks, and lunch break. That's about 10 hours right there.

I don't know if there was a lunch break or not, I'll check. We'll do it better next time, that's for sure.

EDIT: The person who manages felt that 5 rounds + top 8 didn't warrant a lunch break.
