huh? avatars

first of all, my original thread for this disappeared.second, whenever i take the image URL of sum1s avatar and i put it in my user cp thing and click it always say invalid file

Because your trying to steal someone elses avatar, which is a no no and also doesn't work that way. Get your own Avatar and upload it like a responsible person.

no i mean from other sites and even when i use my own cruddy ones that have all the requirements it still says invalid file

Then just use file upload its easier.......

First, right-click on the image and select "properties." There's a URL there where the image is. Highlight it, and hit "Ctrl+C." Use [URL="http://www.imageshack.us"]http://www.imageshack.us[/URL] and click the "URL" radio button, then paste the URL in the field. Then try uploading it.

GON brings up a good point about taking other's avatars off another site. Also some people have their avatar's made for them, the one I'm currently using was made by a friend of mine. With as many people who are one this site there are bound to be a few who have the same avatar, as it's not impossible for that to happen. Also in some cases friends will let someone use an avatar that they also might be using.

If this board continues to grow, I'm sure people will have duplicate avatars. Thats just life, eh?

Its proboly cause your avatars files are to big.
