Ninja Effect Timings and PR-US008 Gaara of the Desert
I need just a bit of clarification. With the new rules in place, ninja effects are now treated like jutsu where you can respond to them with other ninja effects or jutsu (given they activate during the exchange of jutsu). Some ninja effects activate when the ninja is sent out to battle like N-295 Gaara of the Desert, others activate when the ninja is sent out to battle and opposed like N-US016 Choji Akimichi and others during the exchange of jutsu like N-264 Shikamaru Nara & Temari. (is this still the case?)
With ninja like PR-US008 Gaara of the Desert can you choose the timing, because no timing is specified (given that the requirements are met, that the ninja is opposed by other ninja)? Basically, could you use the effect prior to the exchange of jutsu, when the ninja is sent out and opposed, or after the exchange of jutsu, right before the showdown? So that your opponent would not have the option to respond with another jutsu, only other ninja effects that have a similar timing? Oh also, with PR-US008 Gaara of the Desert, is discarding a ninja considered to be a cost (done when declaring a ninja effect) or a part of the effect itself (done when the effect resolves)? Sorry for the length of the question, but it is important. Thank You, Rob Last edited by NobodyX : 01-12-2009 at 04:46 PM. |

Quote:
Ninja effects go on the chain in their entirety. There is no cost to pay until the effect is resolving.

Thank You! That is a huge help.
(It takes skill to answer a paragraph question so completely with simply a sentence! Props) |
