Caged Bird (M -150) & priority
I was at a tournament and I saw a guy play Caged Bird (M -150).
The guy's opponent had a Kakashi Hatake and Temari in play teamed together. The guy said that he plays Caged Bird on Kakashi right at the last minute of the mission phase so that team can't go out because the opponent was going straight to the battle phase. I honestly believe you can't do this. Even if you play Caged Bird (M -150) at the last minute of the mission phase...there is still that split second where it breaks off from the mission phase to the organization phase. If that guy plays Caged Bird (M -150) right at "the last minute" then it can still mean that the opponent has the chance to go to his/her organization phase and split the team up so Temari will not get left behind. P.S. Sorry for the long message, just that it's complicated to sum this up in a couple of sentences. ![]() |

Remember since missions use the chain, you are always going to have a chance to respond to something that your opponent does. So, if your opponent plays Caged Bird M-150, then priority will pass to you, the attacker. You can then chain something to this mission or pass priority back to your opponent. Similar to how a jutsu chain resolves, if both players pass priority without adding something to the chain, then the chain will resolve.
Also, both players have to pass priority without doing anything and without having anything on the chain before the mission phase will end (again, this is very similar to how the exchange of jutsu works). You can simply state that you are passing priority. This system prevents people from "playing things at the last minute". Also, unless some effect forces you to skip the organization phase, then you must go through the organization phase. |
