Targeting vs Affecting
Can someone explain the difference between "Cannot be targeted" and "cannot be affected"?
It would seem to me, since the OC's cannot be affected, if I were to Giant Vortex (J-034) against them, the ninjas in the team besides the OC ninja would be sent back to my opponents hand. Because it does still target the team, just one of the ninjas is unaffected. But in the case of Kabuto [co] (N-152), it says he cannot be targeted. So if I were battling against his team, and I tried to Giant Vortex, does the vortex even have a legal target to begin with? Since it targets EVERY ninja in the opposing team, and at least one of them canNOT be targeted... I feel like it cannot target who it's trying to (the whole team), so it would fizzle. Is this correct or incorrect? |
