question regarding M-222 My Rule

I would like clarification regarding M-222 My Rule, the effect is as follows:

Permanent (3)
Effect: each time your team wins 1 or more battle rewards as the result of the showdown, you win 1 additional battle reward. When this card is played, select either of the following effects and apply it while this card remains in play

(1) You cannot deploy ninjas.

(2) You cannot use any jutsu or mission cards.

ok, so on the first part of winning battle rewards as a result of the showdown, is it applied when teams are unopposed? or is it through cards like Kakashi Early Settlement and M-156 A ranked Mission? or can it be through opposed teams who win a victory or outstanding victory with no such effect?

the second question comes in from the "rules" surrounding this card. Can I deploy a ninja such as N-187 naruto uzumaki then play M-222 my rule, selecting condition (1) choosing not to deploy ninja's? I ask this part of the question because it does not state that it has to be the first card played during the mission phase.

there is a lot of confusion surrounding this card and I'd like to know how it works exactly, any help is appreciated

I've already gotten word from how my local will judge it, but I'd still like to know how it's going to go, I really like my rule and want to play it.

BRs gained through card effects are not gained by way of the Showdown.

you can deploy, then play the Mission.
