San Francisco Bay Area check in!

sure why not. It's obvious I'm here, but who else? I'm looking at holding events bimonthly at different locations, but we'll see depending on how many people want Organized Play and where.

Well it's good to see that people actually play cards other than the big Magic/YuGiOh/Pokemon in the SF Bay Area for a change.

I live in Danville (about 35 miles outside of SF), or rather I do when I go home for the weekend. During the school year, I attend University of California, Santa Cruz.

I'm best known for my work in Scrye for all of Score Entertainment's games (DBZ, IY, Epic Battles, Fruits Basket, Sonic X), and I'm branching off to write on *gasp* my first non-Score related game, Naruto. I'm not sure how long I'll continue writing on it, but if I like the game I might consider sticking on it.

I had both demo decks shipped to me via Bandai to do the review, but they forgot a key element: the rules. So all I have is the bare bones Scrye article done by Danny in issue 95 and two demo decks...

Since I already play both DBZ and IY on a high calibur (flying across the US playing them), I don't think I'll have the funds to do the same for Naruto, but time will tell. I turned down playing FMA because it wasn't a Score game, so that fate might befall Naruto as well. I love how the cards are made, but once I can play a real game, I might fall in love with it. Tournament and prize structure will also play a huge part in dragging my attention.

I'm an extremely busy person otherwise with my two key card games, college, and whatnot, but you never know. If things look good, I may give it a whirl.

I leave in San Jose, estimated 40-45 min drive to SF, so i guess i will check in here. There's a few places in my area that will be holding weekly tourneys, so if anyone around the area or not in the area is interested in showing up... PM me and i'll hook you up with the info I have. Or you don't have to PM me, just check on the upcoming events here: http://www.herofactorygames.com/bandai/tournaments.php
