In a forest outside the sound village, a dark figure was being chased.
"I was such a moron to belieive him." was the thought that raced through the fugitive's mind.
Shouts could be heard behind him. The man's dark hair moved with the wind a his black eyes searched for an escape. A old familiar face popped into his mind,
"I'll drag you back if I have to! But I won't let Orchimaru take you!" the old friend warned him years before but he was to blind to listen.
"I'm sorry." he remembered the friend's beaten form laying on the wet ground."I'm so sorry."

The voices were closer, he looked back, he could clearly see Kabuto's face now.
"The snake couldn't come after me himself!" he thought in comptemt.
He smirked at the thought of Orchimaru battered and beaten, bleeding on the stone floor.
"Now why didn't he use his vessal to get me....Oh, that's right." he laughed.

If this has been a test
I can not see the reason
but maybe knowing I don't know
is part of getting through
i tried to do what's best
and friednship made it easy
to see the best thing I can do
is put my trust in you...........

More faces flashed through his mind, resting on one he knew from the day he was born.
"Brother, why....why did you do this to me." a few tears dropped down. This brought back memories of the night he left his home and friends behind. tears fell on a stone path as he foolish ingored the plea.And so many more that cam eafter it.

Outnumbered, he was beaten heavily.

"I'm sorry, I failed..........Naruto." his eyes closed in a fatel sleep.
