I kinda agree with you on how he let them beat them. But even though he was a pupet himself he still had a chakra limit and also a limit of thought. Maybe he was fatigued just as they were and thus was not thinking fully. Or maybe he just saw them coming and was still fatigued and just thought,"Ok..parents hugging me is how I want to end it." Everything has its limits. Also I want to state this.... Everyone has complained about Sasuke summoning Manda and controling him with the Sharingan....Has anyone ever been in a position of final do or die? Anyone who has done sports will know that when it comes time for that, not exactly die, you can bring forth something that even you didnt expect. So given the choice of death or soemthing else your body digs deep enough to bring that something else. And maybe more than you expected. And with summonigs the more you give the greater you get. And with that chapter of Sasuke vs. Diedara it showed what Diedara was doing not Sasuke
