Wow, wha okay... umm maybe you all don't quite get it?

Most likely, the issue is using Naruto images without permission.Bandai has permission to use naruto pictures for their ads and cards, obviously. Those ads include the banner up top and, the magazine ads and everything else.

Individual users, though, haven't been given permission by Viz to use their images, so they probably want them off this site.

It's simple, really...

It's simple, really...

They could license preapproved avatars that anyone could use, but I'm sure that would have to go through the licensing dept. of Viz and the Japanese owners to get them on the site. Basically, more trouble than they want to put into it. They're most likely thinking that the board's only a tool to facilitate talk about the game and anime, no more, no less. Probably why there's no "Free talk" forum here. =x
