Well if it does not have word ONLY on the card IE this card can only target a genin or the card can ONLY be played by a Jonin or higher. But lets say it just has requirements to be a jonin then they could play it. It is in the new FAQ rules. I had alot of questions about Platoons coming up at my tournaments so I was curious ..

the "only certain rank" mainly applies to missions like Final Competition Begins. since it says that "only Genin ninjas may be sent out to battle," and the Naruto/Jiraiya platoon is considered to be Genin AND Sannin at the same time, the platoon could not be sent out to battle. However, if it's something like 8 trigram, which requires Jonin or higher rank, it CAN use the jutsu because it is technically a Sannin.

it's just what i've gleaned from all the time i've spent listening to Mr. Wheat answering platoon questions >_>.

Yes that is what I said. I did not mean it to sound other way. Like a card that says requires a genin to play it could be played by Jar/Nar but if the card said Only a genin can play this then Jar/Nar does not meet those requirments. and Same is true for other half of the coin at higher end.
