Obito is horri-terrybad ... not even a word to describe it. The other 2 drop from set 27 is so much better. This Obito doesn't even have Genjutsu!!!!!!! WHAT?!? AWFUL

Tenten is extremely mediocre mostly because of the broken 0 drop TenTen we already have ad the other reprint 1 drop TenTen that will see heavy play next set.

I've been like super busy, but I had most of the article finished, just didn't get a chance to post it. It was a tough week because I actually didn't like a lot of the cards, but I hate just saying "It's not that good", so I tried to take time to explain why or find some use for it.

Expect both Stormy Battle and our Super Rare Preview early in the evening today. Sorry for the delay.

Ruling question: does the "top card" still exist in the pile of revealed cards when you reveal the top X cards of your deck? I would think it does, but I feel like I should check with an expert anyways.


Please tell me your SR preview is an actual Nagato?!

well, maybe if you take the card back in time before this errata
But otherwise, you're going to shuffle those revealed cards either way, thus it's still luck based.

The thing is, the way it was printed in the Toad starter ([Attacker | Mission] Reveal the top 6 cards of your deck: Effect.) means that you can chain to the cost of revealing the cards. The opportunity for paying the second cost only comes after messenger nin's first activation resolves. I wasn't around for the messenger nin era, so I sort of missed out on the rulings of the time.

If you're correct, maybe a better way to phrase the card would be "[Attacker | Mission] Reveal the top 6 cards of your deck and if there are 1 or more Lightning Ninjas with an Entrance Cost of 1 or less, you can discard this Ninja: If you discarded this Ninja, put 1 of those Lightning Ninja cards with an Entrance Cost of 1 or less in play, return the revealed cards, and shuffle your deck. If not, shuffle the revealed cards into your deck."

Edit: Actually, either way you can chain to messenger nin's effect and have something resolve while the top cards are revealed since shuffling only happens after messenger nin's effect finishes.
