The Greater Sacramento Area

Hello! Hopefully I am doing this right, please correct me if I am not but this thread is for the Naruto CCG players in the greater Sacramento area. My name is Donald (Donnie or Bruce if you want) and it's great to meet you all!

Well, today a couple of veteran players came by and appeared to be familiar with the forums, so hopefully you find this! There is a Facebook group called the Village Hidden in the 916 feel free to drop by.

We mostly go to Adventures on Saturday with unlimited. Next week we are going to have an Unlimited Chunin event going on at 3PM. Repeat, the tournament will be starting at 3PM on Saturday the 16th of February.

Hopefully I made this right, thank you for taking the time to at least skim through this.

We were hoping to make this Chunin, but the date didn't work for us unfortunately due to previous plans. Conventions and conferences seem to land on longer weekends, ala President's Day. Looks like the date couldn't get moved after all. Perhaps next time! Looking forward to playing Unlimited again too.

We're too far away to play locally (about an hour and a half, we're in the Bay Area), but for Chunins and SacAnime I'm down for a drive.

Also, start time so late... I'd be concerned the Chunin doesn't finish until really late evening.

Were you the guys who came over last Saturday?

Yeah, the tournaments do start a bit late. Regular ones usually end right at closing. Hopefully we get another chunin, so you guys can come then.

Nope, we've never been to Adventures. I've been playing since before Path... I was one of the few people who got demo decks before they were released due to writing on the game for Scrye back in the day. So you can call me a true original player, though I didn't take it seriously until around set 4.

If normal events end at closing, then the Chunin should take significantly longer. Just a caution. They rarely start on time.

Looking to run an Unlimited Chunin at FanimeCon again.

Haven't read Scyre in ages! o.o And Wikipedia always brings bad news. That's pretty cool, getting to play the demo decks and writing for Scyre.

Yeah, there is a pretty big group here with about 4 team I think. Thanks for the tip, I would have guessed that they are usually strict with the time.

I never been to a con nor a tournament at one, do they usually cut down on the entrance fee since it is at a con? And isn't it distracting?

Well, nobody posted here in time for the chunin. I guess people are shy when posting, I know I am. They should know about the forums too. Sad face.

24 people showed up! That's pretty good, right? I neever been to a chunin before so I wouldn't know but that looks to be a big number! I got 8th and was stomped by br-flip/tree but I enjoyed it. I was much calmer then I thought it would be but that might be because my score was 3w-2d-1l. I hope we can get another chunin.

Considering we get around 8 at Modesto Chunins these days, and 8 at FanimeCon's Chunin, that's pretty good. Makes me wonder how awesome it was. Would have been fun!

FanimeCon's Chunin is free. Why would I charge when it costs me nothing?

Wonder what decks were there and what did well. When did it end? Maybe start earlier next time?

Scrye was super awesome, but sadly came to an end about five years ago. Print media for card games moved online.

Looking forward to playing Unlimited sometime!

The time it ended? I have no idea. I stopped paying attention when I lost. Asked their their Facebook so we'll see.

Tournament results. I would do a report but I got lucky in my matches and not the luck I like.
