what if its orochimaru's plan to seal the juubi into sasuke have him fight naruto get weakened enough by the fight to take over sasuke's body and in one swoop get sasuke's and the juubi's power?

What about the Yin half of Kurama that Minato sealed with the RDS? Either (1) Orochimaru has it now, or (2) it's been set free. If (2) is the case, then it might return to Naruto, who has the Yang half. OR MAYBE Sasuke will get it and the two will share the 9 tails.

I'm glad we get to hear firsthand accounts from the 1st, 3rd, and especially 2nd. The 2nd is so shrouded in mystery and he's really the beginning of Edo Tensei and space-time jutsus. The 1st will be able to tell us more about Madara and why his own cells are so special, and the 3rd I'll bet has a dirty secret. I don't really know what the 4th can contribute besides his knowledge of the tailed beasts.

Also, what's interesting is that the reader automatically assumes that the Hokages are "good" people even though we barely know anything about them. Now would be a great time for Kishi to twist our expectations.

That was entirely my point. I never said madara would win. I said that he wouldn't lose. There is a difference. I agree. The battle couldn't end given the current information we have.

Or (3) it's still sealed

It only showed five spirit thingies come out of the demon's stomache: the four hokages and part of Orochimaru. Orochimaru didn't release everything that has ever been sealed away by the reaper.

There's no guarantee that the hokages will even get to fight. We don't know why they had to go to the nakano shrine yet.

again, I already mentioned the seal possibility. And, yet again, the forest doesn't matter. Madara's mastery of mokuten is on the same level as the firsts, because both of them have infinite chakra, due to edo tensei.

My entire original point was, it is stupid to think that IF they fought madara, it would be an easy victory. And to that end, it seems we agree.
