I think the Swordsmen IR theme is pretty solid. Ameryu is my favorite out of all of them, with Kushimaru has my second.

I think the weapon jutsu that snipes in their hand is insane. Will cards like omoi, temari, or obito fit in there or no?

You can play Swordsmen Weapon Void or you can play Fire/Lightning Weapon using all of the Void Weapon Jutsu.

Samurai Swordsman seems like it could be good, all things considered. Sac fodder, plus users for most of your jutsu.

7SM as a deck type all alone, looks pretty bad. It relies far to much on that mission, Utakata filtering, and has no sure fire game winning card (yet)
However, Weapons deck USING the 7SM or void as a whole has just seen a sweet uprising.
Until we see non-swordsmen Impure Ress ninjas, these are my opinions on that theme as well. I like that they will all be void and thus most adaptable, the whole "removing themselves" for effects thing i'm mixed on, but generally speaking it's creative and nice.

I think we can all agree that the theme isn't playable yet. But for now while Ameyuri Ringo, Kuriarare, and those two's jutsus are incredibly good in weapon decks, the others are pretty bad and aren't worth using. Though maybe Fuguki, who Kisame succeeded, will be a 0 drop and will flesh out the theme a little bit more.

When it comes to jutsus, Weapon will still need to rely on Chojuro's jutsu from S25 to standby/pseudonegate, which is unfortunate. Ringo's jutsu + Samui is pretty nice though.
