Best Void Build?
Been experimenting with various versions of void and found this one to be the best. It beats mirror match and most other decks except for maybe Earth but still working on perfecting the side deck to cover its weaknesses. Void seems tier 1 to me especially at locals. It also seems to be the easiest deck to make when just getting back into the game as well.
Feel free to give me your thoughts, still debating on some of the exact mission ratios but other than that I think I'm pretty solid. Honestly looking more for side board suggestions for anti-earth and anti-fire. Most likely if you go first and play sasuke T0 you win (or at least I have every time). He's also good for the fire symbol helping with hand cost for hidan curse mode if I want and also has sharingan eye to make danzo. Giant centipede's are good cuz they pump each other and the effect stacks and in combo with female animal path who also pumps them. Giant chameleon is just really good, better stats wise than giant rhino imo because it's assured to have those stats as long as a pain is in play, and if it's animal he gets pumped as well. Giant chimera is great stall card and tokens help with sacrifice, plus the tokens are rinnegan animal as well which is amazing. Nagato childhood is meh but is a rinnegan ninjutsu ninja on T0 with growth and his second effect is decent. I use female animal path for animal rush with +1/+1 pumps and her second effect helps me keep hand advantage when I sacrifice rinnegan animals. Giant rhino is meh but second effect is good for keeping my pain effects active and he's rinnegan animal so yeah. The 2 madara clients are amazing on T1 to draw a card and then pitch him for sacrifice without losing field advantage, plus he has fire symbol for hidan curse mode hand cost. Naraka path is busted in general and bringing out heretical icon who is also busted. I feel I only need to run 2 and not 3 because I run ame orphans and summoning jutsus. This gives me room for 1 konan who has a nice solid 3 support on T2 with 2 mental, ambush, and helps keep field advantage when I sacrifice. Preta path is amazing, negate a jutsu or effect and auto mastery hand of pain if he uses it. Sasori is all right but has 3 mental, ambush, and helps get rid of a bad hand. Human path also amazing, rfg 2 cards from opponent's hand and hits both players' mission phase, 3 mental. Hidan is amazing, pitch him as hand cost for an akatsuki ninja and pip him for free. Doesn't really lose stats if he's injured (6/0, 5/0), and can make curse mode. Kisame is busted, basically says your opponent has no chakra and can't win. Itachi is good for jutsu negation and the perfect hand cost for hidan curse mode cause he has ambush and fire symbol, as well as sharingan eye to make danzo. The deva path from the new starter is the most busted deva path ever printed, keeps all pains' effects active all the time and can push a ninja. Invasion is a decent mission, T1 draws 1 card and 1 more for each ninja with sacrifice in play. Honestly I very rarely draw more than 1 or 2 cards off it but if it gets played late game it could draw alot I suppose. Time of pain is amazing, draw 1 from bottom and move turn marker up by 1. The lord's convene is a great card on T0, reveal top 5 and take a ninja. Gives me the possibility of keeping on a hand with no 0 drops if I need to and helps get me drops. Ame orphans is decent, if I have less ninjas in play than my opponent I can search for a rain ninja and move turn marker up if it has sacrifice. Good for searching out whichever pain I need, accelerates turn marker, and has the likely hood of going off due to sacrifice mechanic. Spiral of pain has synergy with madara client, as well as time of pain and ame orphans. Draws a card every time turn marker is moved including at end of turn and can also be used to pitch for sacrifice. The new starter almighty push is amazing. It can be used by any rinnegan ninjutsu ninja and if deva path uses it the chakra cost gets halved and he gets both effects to push X ninjas and draw X cards for both top and bottom of the deck. Run 2 of this one because has more users and is still busted when used by deva path. I run 1 of the super rare almighty push because only deva can use it but it pretty much says you win the game if it goes off. Summoning jutsu helps get my pains and puts one in play ignoring sacrifice, can be used as a counter to a jutsu that damages one of your ninjas or pumps one of theirs because you can regain those stats with putting the pain into the team. If animal path uses it you draw 1 from the bottom as well. I run hand of pain over absorption barrier because it has auto mastery with preta path. And I run 1 of mind of pain because it has alot of users and can be played early game to either discard a ninja or at least injure one while at the same time rfg'ing 1 card from the opponent's hand for the turn (potentially hitting a jutsu). It also gets around damage negation because it specifically says discard or injure. Heretical icon is busted, heal 1 of your ninjas every turn basically and use him to pitch for sacrifice since you can just put another one in play each turn (can do that twice if you have 3). Hidan curse mode is just a great card in general. Danzo is just an option as well as kisame shark mode (very rare you could get him out seeing as the only hand cost is the other kisame but since the possibility is there I keep 1 in the reinforcement deck just cuz). By Turn 3 I normally draw 3 cards using Invasion.

To me its biggest weakness is to cards and strategies that break combos. Void can do what every element can do. As a cost though just not enough cards to do said strategies. Though aggro is the second worst match up. That's though also cause void can't keep up its synergy while oppressing an assault.

Void needs a second element to fill in the voids, if you will (yes, pun intended), of itself. Sasuke [Peerless Genius] is one you mentioned for combating early rush, but TP4 Rin and Karin [Absorption] work fine as well. The great thing about Rin is that she stays relevant into the late game when other decks try to pull reinforcements out, or you can sac her away to get rid of her effect at your discretion. S24 Deidara is also REALLY nice with Preta Path since you can almost guarantee your Push/Construction will go off. S23 SR Shino gives out coins for chumping and sacrificing. The other elements offer so much when it comes to supporting Void that it's a huge loss to not use them. By far my favorite is still Void/Water. S24 Suigetsu and Human Path... it's hard to believe it was once a cute combo no one played because Human Path was "bad". Sea Monster/Karin is a pretty nice brick wall that gives you time to set up other shenanigans too. S26 Orochimaru + Spiral of Pain and all the other turn marker effects will be a favorite of mine for quite a while now. |
