I thought u were making fun of me. The only part it seems I got wrong ignoring Shino's dads comments was that hotaru couldn't initiate a chain cause it was resolving already. Also I. I still stand my answer there. Also I didn't notice a specific order either. I noticed half way through. By then I spent over an hour searching andtyping. My answer took 3 hours to email. I wanted to make sure I got it right ironically to get Shino's dad to misinterpret.

You had Hotaru come into play, draw 1 and discard for her, then placed the rest of the effects on the chain, which is incorrect. I'm not going to argue with you, especially since we created a video explaining it, because I know you're going to take the ignorant/illogical way out. Don't blame Shino'sDad for "misinterpreting" it, you messed up on the very first step. If it wasn't for that, you would have won.

I hope I copy and pasted this right. I am doing this in chunks from my email on my phone. But the following was my response for the challenge. >>>

1) one hotaru resolves and comes into play. The next hotaru resolves but can't enter play do to uniqueness rule. So it stays out of play permanently. Now I'll draw a card and then discard a card do to hotaru. This step is first cause the resolution of already active effects happens before anything else labeled in this challenge

-----———-----

now I can start activating effects as there is no mandatory effects at this time. I have three choices (Ino, Asuma and Tenten).

2.) I'll activate Ino since a shikamaru is on the field fulfilling her condition. Ino pays her cost to "mill" 3.

2.b) asuma's second effect enters the chain by my choice since nothing is resolving.

2.c) giant eagle enters the chain cause of Ino's cost

3.) I'll activate Asuma's first effect. (No cost to his effect).

4.) I'll activate Tenten's effect by paying her cost by discard an earth card, seeing that's all I have.

-----———-----

Now let's resolve this by applying FILO 5.) Since I discarded an earth card with Tenten, I'll draw a card. Then I discard nothing. Thus I don't trigger Asuma ( I already triggered him anyways. I can't triggered him anymore because Asuma's second effect is optional) or trigger giant eagle.

6.) Asuma's first effect resolves discarding the top two cards of my deck.

6.b) I'll have to wait for this chain to resolve to trigger giant eagle. I can't interrupt the resolution of a chain.

7.) from "2.b)" mentioned earlier, the opponent may now negate this by discard a card from their hand. If not then I will draw a card

8.) From "2.c)" giant eagle's effect resolves allowing me to reveal the cards Ino "milled" earlier on to move 1 to my hand. Now I discard a card from my hand.

9.) Now Ino's effect will resolve drawing me a card.

-----———-----

10.) Starting a new chain giant eagle may now trigger off of the one time I optionally triggered Asuma's first effect.

11.) With nothing else on the chain #10 resolves with me revealing the two cards milled with Asuma. I add one of them to my hand. Now I discard one card from my hand.

-----———-----

12.) I now draw my one card I always do at the end of the start of the turn phase.

-----———-----

I only after typing this realize why you gave us a specific order to have certain cards enter the chain. I hope you don't use that against me.

I know what you sent in, I read it ten minutes ago. This is where you went wrong.

After Hotaru comes into play her effect goes on the chain. This is when you would chain the other effects. So if you had Ino chain to Hotaru's effect, you would have been golden.

Shino's dad said something about me activating/applying mandatory effects at a higher spell speed. That's all that I meant.

On topic, why does hotaru interweave into all the chaining? I thought all effects resolving at the start of the turn happened first. Wait I just realized that that hotaru resolving flashpoint happens first. That sets up hotarus effect after flashpoint resolves.

Thanx for the challenge anyways.

Edit:ur responses are coming in faster than mine.

Edit2: I don't wanna argue. I already realized my error.

Yes, I was getting the feeling that you were under the assumption that her effect was a part of Flashpoint.

And the logs show that I had a post at 8:55 PM, you at 9:02 PM, me at 9:06, and you at 9:12. Of course you have to account for the time difference but that shouldn't change the order of posts.
