Tournament Report. Yes, same local as the other posted, but a different POV.

About a week ago I get a call from my old Naruto ccg team saying that we're hitting up locals that are about an hour drive away, to keep some cash for today and get ready, then I realize, one of my team members has my main deck ;-;. We talked over fb, he told me the version that he was working on wasn't finished, it needed around 10 more cards, pretty difficult to get too. A week passes by and it's Saturday (Today). I look at the build, it was technically NvS. I remember that around 5 months ago (the last time we played at locals and the last time I played in general) he borrowed my 3x NvS. He made a decklist (which I might post later on, idk) and I noted every card needed. We stopped for breakfast and since I ate at home, I just bought some coffee. We got there eventually after talking about video games, life, responsibilities and random stuff. I meet up with a friend that I haven't seen in years because it's been years since we've gone to that local. He hits me up with the info, the tourney starts in 10 minutes and I get around 4 cards needed out of 10 but my friend let me borrow about 3 more, and make some jank fill ins for the rest and side board.

Tournament starts:

Round 1- Vs Revitalize Earth.
Game 1: I get steamrolled, my power shuffle pooped on me, didn't get anything useful, just a bunch of dead draws, some misplays and a Sasuke. I scooped.
Game 2: We draw decently, I got a god tier hand, dropped a Sasuke, Wagered it, Lee, Ink Fish, Naruto, got some needle ***os and won t4 with NvS.
Game 3: He drew poop, just a Choji that I subdued t0 and he didn't play another ninja till like t3 and he just didn't get a break even though I just got a mediocre hand at best.

Round 2- Vs. Perma-Mission Earth
Game 1: I got a decent starting hand, he got a god tier hand. He played BBQ, and a bunch of missions, got his Zetsu to like 8/8, dropped a Deidara and I got over powered as he had mental power too with Shikaku and Shikamaru.
Game 2: He had a way better opening hand than me, but my draw power came in and I effectively used all 3 of my NvS, the last one for game, close match, although it was pure luck and draw power.
Game 3: I made a bunch of misplays, didn't get that great of a hand, he steamrolled my early game with mental power.

Round 3- Vs. Puppets (Teammate)
Game 1: Mulled to four, already not liking the situation. One decision on my part gave him an advantage. I let his matsuri or something live (Having a Sasuke and Subdue), he then proceded to make huge teams with 2 Crows and over powered me as I didn't have much to begin with.
Game 2: I had a stall-ish hand with kisuke and Lee and a bunch of jutsu, but I didn't wanna risk it. He got out some big dudes and flamethrowers, blah blah. I ended up stalling, only getting about 3 brs early game, I got till turn 8, evolved my Naruto into 6-tails, but couldn't survive till turn 9 to Exodia him with my 9-tails as I didn't get enough stall.

As the tournament went on, I traded for the rest of my deck, finished it completely. I had a great time and got 4 promo Loopy Fist Lees.

Pros:
- Met up with old friends from far away
- Had well needed bro time with my old teammates
- Finished my deck completely
- Traded a bunch of unlimited trade bait and got a 6th Hokage, Izanagi, x2 Madara and lots of fire stuff that I wanted for another deck.
- After game pizza.
-Got updated and motivated with the game, hopefully gonna do this monthly.

Cons:
- Didn't top, expected with a janky last minute deck, made after about 5 months of total inactivity, rushed within 10 minutes. Although, NvS ftfw.
- Left home with about 28$, got home with 10$ ;-;
- Didn't get my Susanoó (Sasuke), but well, I got a lot of other things.
- I'm sleepy as ****, I remembered every deck, but the games weren't too specific into what really happened and they probably went a bit differently. I also sideboarded some pakkuns and Sabirus, but didn't mention when.

I had a really fun time with the crew and talked about our problematic memories about our love life/sex life and about the past of MTG on our way home. I gotta love my teammates. Ask for the decklist, if you want me to post it.

good stuff. this is the kinda report that's worth it. who gives a care about the big things when at least you had a good time chilling with everyone else. (ppl have different opinions than this lol).

but yea, where are your locals? seems like everyone loves getting pizza after tournaments. me and my team are always getting taco bell, that's the good shiz right there.

Puerto Rico, haha. It's occasional, we've hit up Taco Bell and some other places. It was kind of a special occasion so we went for pizza, I was so hungryy (I got pizza with the guy that made the other report, the 1st place one). Anyway yeah, I had an amazing time and learned a lot about the current meta, looking forward to hit up locals more often and probably do a lot better for the next one and do well at the next chunins.
