The fact it reported on a local, which no one (except maybe other localplayers) care about. Didn't even bother reading the whole thing. I know none of the people mentioned, was not in attendance, hell didnt even know it happened. There's a reason after all that only Chunins and up are usually reported on, and even then lately chunins get a report of "I placed X and ran this deck" stretched out over 2 or 3 paragraphs. (in other words, aren't much)
Write on something worth reading. The only thing I see here is a sloppier version of a deck I faced at the last SJC (and topped? idk, been a few months after all) won a local despite rulings that were already known. borrrrrriinnnnnng |

you guys need to stop bashing on these guys.....seriously I think the main reason u guys do it is because of Mullto4 and the fact that u guys dont like having articles thrown at u from multiple different sources especially if one involves more "well known" players

(sorry allanime, not a call out to you but i actually wanted to address this for awhile..speaking from experience, i hate when players pick on certain people because they haven't topped events, or don't know the game enough or blah blah..so this just goes for everyone, can't have that way of thinking). I stopped reading when I saw the word Local in the title.
And yes Mulltofour is another Blog, but they're a more organized blog about the game and the metagame itself, Yes a Local is nice but you have to realize, that's the least competitive event of the entire game, When I still attended Locals I'm pretty sure only 1 person was playing a meta deck at the time, and the rest of us were just playing what we thought was fun. There's no real reward for locals [well anymore, I miss being able to get Mats >:] and its why no one cares about them, no matter what tops at locals its not going to affect the metagame, because only the Chunnin and Higher Events do. I respect the idea of another Blog but guys, step your game up if anymore of the articles are as mediocre as I won my Locals then there's really no point in reading. |

As I said, Locals are not a competitive place to play, maybe if you have like only SJC and Gencon winners playing there maybe, but we do playtesting before a chunnin for a reason, People are much more urged to do well at a tournament if there is more on the line.
Basically what you're saying is that I should report about How I can go 7-1-2 in my Pokemon League when only 3 people there take the game seriously enough to play something competitive at league and not about how I got Second at My Battle Roads, the Place that shapes up how the format is going to happen and what to expect in the metagame. I fail to understand the logic that you're trying to put behind this. Last edited by kunoalpha : 01-08-2013 at 05:10 PM. |
