obito uchiha desperation...

Ok, so im sitting here in my locals with killerkimimaro and were discussing obito uchiha - N1571 from set 27 and how its effect works. Provided that its desperation effect works as desperation is SUPPOSED to work, can i activate obitos' effect 2 times on a chain? (given that my opponent has x>5 battle rewards)
so, heres how I believe the chain works:

precondition: opponent has 10>x>5 battle rewards.

1. eoj occurs.
2. I activate obitos effect
3. opponent chains with whatever (if at all)
4. activate obitos' effect again to injure the opponents ninja and return obito to my
hand.

Does this work?
