Why just Gaara?
The "9k" deck types, what causes them to possess the name "9k"? I am trying to build decks based upon the same filtration basis, utilizing either Naruto n524 or Kimimaro nus117. Has anyone made "9k" decks for either of these, and if not, WHY not? Can someone perhaps give me either sample lists for these decks or some cards that can run in them? If any of my questions seem out of place, forgive me-I have not seen anything of this sort mentioned in Deck Discussion.

9K is a reference to the Dragon Ball Z series when Vegeta, after looking at Goku's power level, screams "It's over nine thousand!". Back in the day, the 9K deck was very powerful and thus was dubbed "Gaara 9K".

to answer your question it's because it's not very good competitively. There aren't enough jutsu targets and the costs of the jutsu (rasengan) is too high. Gaara O9K worked very well due to fast chakra generation and in infinity number of jutsu targets (24 different potential jutsu targets) most of them only costin 2 chakra.

seeing as no one here as actually said why they were called over 9k ill answer that. Gaaras effect name is [Overflowing Power] and Josh Lu took that and named if over nine thousand because of the power reference and because it was a popular meme at the time.

Perhaps a deck frame I can work with? I'm going to put my signature spin on it, but I need to kinda know where to start. |
