and i feel like im forgetting 1 or more. at the absolute very least you forgetting jiraiya is blasphemous because of his strong connection to the main character and how much it effected him emotionally as that was a member of his surrogate family.

come to think of it i think someone has died just about every arc except "go after sasuke 2.0" where all that happened was we learned that

1) naruto has anger management issues

2) regardless of what hope the save gaara arc gave us, sakura is indeed still useless in a fight

3) sasuke's power level was over 9k

4) naruto is so weak, does he even have a ****?

oh well that's simple, she was killed so obito would turn evil and so both obito and kakashi can have mangekyou

Although not really main characters, but most of the junchuriki as well when their tailed beasts were sealed by Akatsuki.

But there is a difference. Most of them died for the good of something. Nagato did it to redeem himself, Jiraiya did it trying to stop Nagato in the first place, Asuma's death was more to snap Shikamaru into a more mature attitude. Shikaku, Ao, Inoichi, and everyone else there weren't defending anyone. They weren't able to pass on a life lesson. There was nothing heroic about it, excluding Shikaku's final plan. They were killed to prove that Naruto and Co. CAN'T protect everyone. Madara, Obito, and the 10 Tails basically said "Haha, you can't stop THIS!"

and im not arguing that...but thats not what the person i responded to said. they said "finally someone died", as in until now, no one had died and everyone lived happily ever after. which isnt true. we've had plenty of permanent deaths.

inb4 the intel squad is actually alive and/or get dragon balled back once naruto becomes the next sage of the 6 paths.

Maybe i did not xplain my self bro, when i said that i knhew alle of them died i was refering to this war, the is something special and nobody dies and the time when nagato reviived evryone COMMON,

countless unnamed characters have been killed, and lesser characters who have been named have been killed. just because nobody you cared about has died up until this point, doesnt mean there has been no deaths. its war, people died. Believe it.
