To everyone saying Naruto has the best community, please tell me where you play so I can come there. In my experience, the game and the adventures/travels I've gone on have been a riot, but the players... The players I've met aren't the greatest people. In fact, most of them have been jerks. There are a lot of know-it-alls in this community. No one ever took me seriously because I was so... chipper would be as good a term as any, I guess. The people I knew got really upset when they would lose, especially if it was to me. I guess because I was so happy all the time and didn't get upset when I lost they took it as a sign that I wasn't serious. Losing gracefully just isn't a skill most competitive players have.

Then again, I guess you run the risk of that in any card game you play. Some of the players at the shop I used to frequent for FNM's had me flinching when they'd lose... and the one everyone had warned me that he was a jerk was nicer to me then most of the people I called my friends at the time. He'd watch some of my matches and go over what I did with me afterward, tell me I had potential, which was more than I could say for most of my so-called friends.

What puzzles me is why serious players treat kindness as an act of war.

Sorry, I kind of went off on a tangent.

I think it boils down to what your priorities are. If you have the time to make the two and a half hour drive, I say go for it. If you've sank enough money into the game and you can afford to spend the money on gas, do it. Don't give up on a beloved hobby because you may never get it back. As long as it doesn't interfere with work/school or healthy sleeping/eating habits, persue it.

I gave up Naruto for two years and now I'm struggling to get back into the swing of things.

People don't know how to relax and just play.

Some people say this is the best community because the original players of the game were very friendly for the most part.

There are still tons of jerks out there, but there are many good people.

Also, glad to see people aren't just dropping the game. Play if you like it.

You can say that again.

Don't get me wrong, I have met some nice players. I guess I was just dealt a bad hand when it came to the people in my area.

I hope things will be different this time around.

You keep your eyes down and your mouth shut when a lady is speaking, show some consideration.

Also, this thread is officially now about everyone's opinions on their situations. Don't make threads and expect it to be a monument to you, it's open discussion.

Not to derail the thread any further but it should not matter what gender anyone is. Women have no more rights or respect then men. Equal rights for everyone, be they moral or legal.
