With the new starter cards, Void is going to trample over this cookie foolishness.

asuma
????dafuq?? which asuma? I dont think any r satple besides the rev one(in rev)
Drop: 5
The only drop that differs depending on element honestly, but most likely
x amount kakashi (nate griffin)
because they have a handcost....
Drop: 6
3rd hokishi
hokage? only in his elements
gaara........
only his elements

The decks that are more likely to win at least during the first part of the season, will have over 50% of these cards in it. My question is why must players be limited to such cards to succeed in competitive play? Debates shall be opened on this subject I kno.. but unless you are running earth be serious ... this is what your ninja drops will be looking like. And if not, whats your ideal drop on each turn?

I dont really feel like there is a "cookie cutter" deck right now, in fact right now this is probably the most diverse format, I mean fire/x reins over all, but shockingly not by much.

There are ALWAYS staples. The only way a card game won't have competitive staples is if you team stamp EVERYTHING. Loyalty this, only play if you control X that. Staples are a good thing. TOO MANY staples are when its bad.

I had that feeling when I was playing Yu-Gi-Oh. 1x Heavy Storm, 2x Mystical Space Typhoon, 1x Monster Reborn, 1x Dark Hole, 2 Tour Guide, 1x Sangan, 2x Pot of Duality, 3x Solemn, 2x Torrential Tribute, 3x Effect Veiler. That's half your deck decided for you before you even start b udiling the deck. Thats when staples become a bad thing.

The only cards you can call a staple from your list are Solo Attitude, Karin, and possibly Temari Wind Scythe. Because they literally are the only cards you will see ran in EVERY deck. And I've seen quite a drop in the number of Wind Scythe players out there. Then the fact that its either play Solo Attitude, Desperate Avenger, or Taijutsu sasuke. They are all good and depend entirely on what you want your deck to do. I've seen many decks forgo the Solo Attitude to play a playset of Taijutsu because of the stall potential. Which leaves Karin because she is just good generic healing and thus should be run by everyone.

The game cannot be called Cookie Cutter in the sense you are trying to claim. In Ink Leech format you could say it but this format is incredibly diverse.

Reinforcement Danzo allows for a 2-1 split if you feel like Desperate Avenger can work in your deck. A Turn 4 of Danzo, Sasuke, Hidan seems cool.

I'll agree to that. I sometimes forget that Danzo is in format For whatever reason I think S21 with him.

However having the 1 Desperate Avenger does increase the odds of him being BR'd

This probably means nothing in the long run, but unlimited decks rarely see these cookie cutter cards like solo attitude and remark wind scythe. If more events supported unlimited decks, then people would show much more creativity in their decks. It would also provide a good reason for the unlimited rogue list to exist
