J955 Panic Attack Question

Can be used as a pseudo-negate to stop jutsus that are played before it? For example Player B plays with as the user. Player A then adds to the chain with Itachi as a target. When the chain resolves backwards, Panic Attack would resolve first making Itachi unable to become the user of a jutsu. Will Simulstrike then fizzle out since Itachi can no longer be the user of jutsu cards?

As an extension, how does Panic Attack function against if it is chained in the same manner as above?

Any Jutsu put on the chain before j955 resolves will not fizzle.

Ok, it sounds like you are saying that panic attack would not stop simulstrike if used in the way above. Therefore, if Panic Attack was played as the very last jutsu on chain, it would only stop the target from using justus on the next chain. So the best way to stop a target from using jutsus with panic attack would be to play it as the first jutsu on the chain.

This kind of leaves me confused, because it seems to contradict the idea of the chain. If panic attack was put on the chain first, and the chain resolves backwards, then wouldn't Panic Attack not resolve and its effect not be applied until the very end of the "resolutions?" Therefore, wouldn't you be able to chain a jutsu with your ninja and it would resolve first before they became an illegal user of jutsus?

Panic Attack will only stop Jutsus from being played in future chains. It cannot be used as a "pseudo-negate."

Ok, I really am sorry about keeping this going, but everyone in my town is convinced that panic attack works in the way I first asked. I have one more question about this card.

You said that Panic Attack stops Justus in future chains. Does this mean that there is no way for panic attack to stop them in the same chain?

For example, Player A would rather not get hit by a , so they play Panic Attack at the start of the chain. Would this not stop Player B from chaining Tetragram and having it resolve successfully?

I really am sorry for asking so many questions, but I just want to be absolutely sure I understand the intent and proper use of this card before I try to explain it at my locals.

Panic Attack cannot stop Jutsus on the same chain.
