I think spiral zetsu is involved somehow in the fight witth the fourth, I'm sure the foruth would have able to tell it was obito on some level by his chakra, unless obito learned some sorta chakra masking technique or how to erase it like karin. Plus if I remember correctyly both his hands fell off like zetsu goo during that battle.

Anyone think SUS2 might make a comeback or is Susano'o the only "transformation" Sasuke gets? Even with EMS, Naruto seems a step above Sasuke atm.

I want to know too. while i like learning things, I am getting tired of the flashbacks. but at the same time they cant just leave it part done. we've gone this far and i want the whole story. better not end preemptively.

Even with the messed up timeline, Obito only had three or four years between when he first met Madara and when he tried to preemptively get the Nine Tails from Kushina. Considering how far Naruto himself has come in that amount of time from the first chapter of the entire manga to now, I can easily see Obito growing into that power. not that it matters but i do believe it was even less time then that. IIRC kakashi was 12 or 13 when he got promoted. he was 26 at series start and the fox stuff happened 12 years ago at that point, making him 14-15 at that time. meaning obito really only had 1-2 years of training.

but again it doesn't really matter since

1) thats still plenty of time in anime/manga worlds to attain god mode. heck if you gave power up *****s like ichigo that much training time instead of the few days/weeks he's used to, he'd be able to kill every hollow in hueco mundo with 1 slash of his zanpakuto.

2) honestly calculating ages went out the window with the original "omg its actually obito" flashback where we saw their chuunin exams and people being there who just shouldn't have been there, and them all seeming 12-ish when most were closer to 9 when they became chuunin, and kakashi was 6. clearly he doesn't give a rats *** about how old people were when event X happens, so why should we...

I wouldnt say special. it was just him abusing his main character powers in a special way that makes far more sense than the usual "just train really really hard for X amount of time" we usually get. so yeah, naruto is special


but then, so is obito. sure madara was in charge of the plan, and sure orochimaru is probably somehow really the one pulling the strings. heck he probably made the strings AND the puppets AND the stage. but obito is still an important antagonist. that gives him special power of his own.

not to mention he was being trained by one of the most powerful shinobi in history. if jiraiya and kakashi could do what they did with a blockhead like naruto as a student, surely someone who, in his prime, was 100x the ninja they are can take a naruto-ish ninja and make him super special awesome.

and for what its worth, he DID fail. what made him able to do what he did was 1 very powerful jutsu. being able to become intangible. he displayed no real super special awesome battle prowess aside that, and he lost to the 4th. so while he did become strong, he didnt exactly get his god mode in those short years. he got a "trolololol you cant hit me" jutsu, which he allegedly had before the training even started, and the ability to release and control the fox. big moves, but hardly unbelievable.

i dont recall the 4th ever being able to sense chakra. this isnt DBZ where thats an ability everyone has. a relatively small amount of people are born with that power and an even smaller amount attain some form of sage mode.

i highly doubt he needed some form of chakra masking so minato wouldn't know it was him. the mask did that job

i guess obito did start puberty though since he didnt recognize the voice...

however if there was an instance where he could sense chakra, please correct me. i just simply dont remember it. not counting the people claiming to feel super big super scary chakras like kakashi and zabuza sensing naruto going fox mode for the first time, only karin, that one guy who was involved with the division fighting 3rd raikage with naruto, i beleive inoichi and maybe ino, and sages and perhaps a couple others have been shown to have that ability.

god bleach is bad. sure nothing really happened in naruto, but god dang at least we're learning things here. in bleach it was an entire chapter of "lol ichigo is here" for 18 pages -_-. i swear it must take months of chapters for these people to use the toilet. chapter 1, unzip pants. chapter 2, take out equipment. chapter 3 aim. chapter 4. actually start. 5 more chapters of business. chapter 10, shake, chapter 11, flush. chapter 12 stuff finishes going down the drain. chapter 13 put equipment back in confinement. chapter 14 zip up. chapter 15 exit room.

that kubo guy wastes soooo many panels on nothing and doesnt even use many panels. he has many pages with a couple, if that, large panels. that series could probably have the exact same amount of content put into 1/2 as many chapters. and, as scary as it is, i dont think I'm exaggerating that much. it still wouldnt be great but at least with a faster pace it wouldnt feel like such a waste of time.

Devil's Advocate: Bleach was actually starting to come into it's own again up until this most recent chapter. Kubo had set a good pace and events of significance were occurring. It isn't until the main character actually shows up that the progression came to a sudden halt. It makes me believe that Kubo sincerely doesn't enjoy writing about Ichigo anymore, and you can see this in the fact that the event progression has always slowed significantly when Ichigo is around.

too much off panel events and a pretty BS way for yamamoto to lose (imo). to be fair him winning that easily would have been no fun, and it was nice to see him god mode. but that feels like such a cop out to go that route at the end. may as well have had him wake up and go "hmm it appears that attack on us was all a dream".

the off panel stuff is what gets me the most. he skips so much and then does his usual stalling of taking entire chapters to do simple things that should have taken several pages less. instead of chapters of nothing...why not SHOW more of that stuff.
