Tetragramming a Hostage.

If I use Taking a Hostage (j954) successfully, and then use Tetragram Sealing (j969) I am correct in assuming that hostage's effect will kick in and discard whoeevr I targeted rather than tertragram's user?

Knowing that I have 2 questions:

1 - Will Tetragram resolve?

2 - If Tetra resolves, would I use the User's EC in determining ninjas to remove, or would I use the Target of Hostage?

Example for clarity: My 6th Hokage (n1513 uses Hostage, targeting my opponents Itachi Uchiha (n1511) and it resolves. then My 6th uses Tetragram, causing Hostage to kick in and removes my opponents Itachi from play. Does Tetragram resolve and if so, do I remove ninjas that total 5 or 6?

1. j969 will resolve. The user would be removed when the Jutsu is resolving, so the Jutsu will finish resolving.
2. You would still use the user's Entrance cost.

So to clarify, I use Taking a Hostage, and then Tetragram, and I can get the effect of Tetragram while still keeping my own ninja on the field?
