2012 Organized Play Promo Question

This week's poll question was made to guage player interest in an idea that Tylar and I have been discussing for a while now.

The questions is "Would you like to recieve full art textless promos as organized play prizing?"

Example below from Magic TCG:



If interest is high enough we may try this for Set 27 participation and winner promos.

I think that is a great idea, would it apply to all card types or be exclusive to just ninjas or just jutsus?

Not sure yet, at this time probably Ninjas since they look the best.

Missions and Jutsu could work but for now treat it as Ninjas that would receive this treatment.

tbh, i don't like it. its bad for new players. and if i want an exact wording for a ruling, that card isn't gonna have it. if i gotta carry around a card with the effect on it just in case when i play these promos, i believe it kinda defeats the purpose of having the promo instead of the original.

The purpose of having promos is to have a unique card for something that is already in the set as a common or uncommon (so you don;t have to play with the promo but you should know the effect regardless since it would be of a fairly good or commonly played common/uncommon).

Knowing the effect of a textless card would be no different than having to know what the current effect of "Clash".

Also a judge would be on hand a premiere events to let your opponent know its effect if they already didn't.

great idea, though i think these would be best suited for jutsu's. having a textless rasengan or dragonflame jutsu would be cool.

I think you guys should try to rip off as much of Magic as you can without getting sued for copyright infringement.

what is wrong with getting ideas from other card games??? why would bandai not want to emulate some of the ideas that they legally can from the most successful card game???

good idea, but i was trolled by the front page.....it asked me if i like the textless promos and i hit yes.....thinking "oh cool new cards" and then I see magic -_____________-

There's nothing wrong. I'm saying they should try to be as similar to Magic as possible without violating copyright law.
