Rin dying is a BS reason!!! And if that is the real reason that Kishi uses, after making Obito seem so inspiring in the Kakashi Gaiden, then he is indeed a cruddy writer. "Just for shock value, I'll make this guy, who loved everyone, and would help anyone, the evilest dude now."

In other words, when Obito, alive, well, and being seen around the village, the 4th hokage wasn't kage, and thus wasn't on the rocks, until Obito was long considered dead.

Kishi doesn't give 2 s*yay*ts about a timeline, or characters (female anyways), or at this point even his own story. He claims to have it "all panned out by the end" but right now I just want to skip to where Naruto permanently kills these two, faces Sasuke, and just end this crap.

Maybe if this manga was named "Shinobis" or something
but no, we all know that Naruto wins in the end with this. The only real questions we had were "who is Tobi?" and "Will Sasuke end up fighting Naruto to the death, or fighting with him against Tobi"
