Izuna was present for all the founding of the leaf and uchiha/senju dispute.

He was on tier with madara in power level.

His clan gave up on his brother and the war/power struggle for the leaf.

And imo, anyone who can awaken mangekyou sharingan has gotta be pretty smart.

Plus theres almost no backstory/evidence disproving him at this point.

Dude trust me, I want that as well. a hell of a plot twist if it were to end up being the "younger brother" was the ******* of the group and actually ruled it, but trust me, that conflicts with a lot more than either of the other 2 theories. (Unless Izanami/nagi are involved. those two techniques still sort of confuse me)
