10th at GenCon Fire/Wind
First I wrote this like a week ago and forgot to post it...so :/ on that and it being so late, also many spelling and grammer issues I am sure but here it is.
Also I made a video that was suppose to go on 2ez explaining the deck. But didnt work so well with uploading. (The Sunday Before GenCon) Picked up travis and started testing at my house, he is playing NvS at this point and I was still close to the version I played at GenCon. I had tested with tom before doing well and when we started to test I was also winning most of my matches. Then when tom got there later that night I played him maybe a game and we hooked up zombies and played 4 player till tom got bored and killed us… Monday We tested a lot that day, me and tom played 6 sets total in a row. He won the first 2 and then I changed a few cards and won the next 4. Tuesday Tom had to go home so me, travis and my brother did outside stuff…not much testing for me at least. Wendesday We left at 3:30 so that they could sleep and get travis’s badge on wed. The rest of the time we mostly chilled in the hotel after finding out no one was actually in indy yet. Thursday Not really sure what everyone else did but I wanted new prizing so I played in draft. Ended up getting 2nd I think and got 4 packs. Might guy & kakashi as previewed and Madara Uchiha Friday Played in the unlimited tournament and played OTK mill fang over fang. Didn’t really want to put in a lot of effort so I made this on Tuesday or Monday while everyone was sleeping. Didn’t do well at all ended up 3-3. But I did play tony denning and first game got the combo off perfect on turn 0. Friday (night) We ended up having Ryan S. Matt E. and Alex B. come over to our hotel and test. This helped me a lot. Matt originally tried to help but I played one game against alex and didn’t like it. So alex and Ryan helped. Changed one card from their things (hidan) made my deck list and went to sleep. This is all missing tom being thee craziest thing ever and screaming and so much more… Saturday I do apologize for not remembering everyone’s names but I always remember faces! Ask the people I played in years past! Round 1 Name???? (Bigger guy wearing white T-shirt) INK OTK Game 1: I play pretty aggressive but he has pakkun and Inuzuka clan so his pakkun goes back negating all my missions. He plays exaggeration on turn 6 and wins. Game 2: I mull to 4 with only kushina in my hand and lose due to rush FML 0-1 Round 2 Name??? (shorter guy curly hair) Some sort of Tai Game 1: I win somewhat quickly it was hard to judge what exactly he was playing Game 2: I lose due to mulling to 4 and not drawing anything. Game 3: I go into naruto 4 tails and win. He pulls back hidan giving me one BR and swings and is at 9. Only for me to play hidan use affect and have naruto give me a damage and put me at 11 and him at 10. GG. 1-1 Round 3 Name ??? (nice guy who gave me a rice crispy!) Playing some sort of mental deck Game 1: He plays the young mental people and I drop Hotaru and get KNS as well. Game 2: He plays young mental people again and I play hanare and KNS. 2-1 Round 4 Name ??? Again Tai? Game 1 and 2 are all a blurr. If someone remembers playing me and can fill in this blank let me know and I am sorry for forgetting! 3-1 Name ??? Sage Mode/Twining Limbs.deck Game 1:He plays very defense while I am playing very aggressive and I am at 7 and pretty sure I have this game. Turn 7 he drops naruto and Twining Limbs and pushes 3 teams. Then only to play the snipe rasen-shuriken and kill 2 of my teams. I don’t last long after that… Game 2: I rush early and he isn’t able to counter anything really. Temari WS like a boss for both of us Game 3: I hit every hate I could to mess him up. Ino Playful was extremely helpful against this guy (sorry!) 4-1 Round 6 Name: Jimmy Dean Fire/Wind Game 1: We had a really good time talking about both being Midwest players and about in MN when he had previously beat me in MN a couple years back and about his chunin. We both went back and forth and him using kakashi to kill my ninjas was really annoying. Eventually I outjutsu him and win Game 2: Honestly he didn’t really draw anything and I was playing very aggressive with my dragon flames cripping teams and healing. I also was able to hina his futaba and his mission negate. But it was a great game 5-1 Round 7 Name: Jovad or The creator of Cruz Control Lightning/Wind (First I must give props to both Jovad and personal thanks to Thomas Veazie. Without all of the testing I did against him I would not have been able to win this match) Game 1: We both were playing very defense, he has futaba and I don’t so I know not to attack and he knows not to attack me. We probably went 3 or 4 turns without attacking. But I was drawing better than he was and I eventually squaded sasuke kakashi and put 3 -1-1 coins on his ninjas and attacked so that he could not use jutsu. We both made the mistake and I attacked with my Hotaru and KNS being at an 8. And he was at an 8 as well. But neither of us realized the -1-1 coins. So my Hotaru wasn’t injured and I do apologize for the mistake. We continue to go back and forth and I am at 9 BRs. He finally goes into naruto four tails and damages my whole field and I go into Hidan cursed mode. Then he drops a Hotaru. Draws a card (having 2 in hand) plays sakura’s decision and draws 2 to draw the 1 lightning he needed to go into the 8 tails naruto (on turn 8). He swings to get 2. Then I ambush my sasori. Reinforce sasori to bring back sakura and attack 2 teams for game. Game 2: Again neither of us really did a lot of attacking but I was hitting my mission and mission negation so I start to push aggressive. I have a pretty decent field and pretty much use all my resources to make my field the best I could and I am up 4 or 5 BR’s. After that I played defensively and try to push for game once time is called only for me to mess up on the sakura kakashi combo and I had to heal his ninja so I didn’t win just got 2 more BRs and he had no field. 6-1 Thomas Veazie Wind/Lightning We end up drawing but I said some rude things to him, eventually Tom was the bigger man and did what needed to be done. Thank you tom and I apologize again. 6-1-1 I find out that I play travis one of my worst matchups one because he knows how to play against this deck and second because his deck was very fast. We go home and just chill out, pretty sure Tom told travis how to beat me not that he didn’t already know how, but it was alright. One of us would get that Ipod Sunday We wake up (with lots of protest from everyone) and go to the event at 8:30 like asked and find out that we cant even start until 9:30? Wtf Bandai. But me and Travis sit down I wish my friends in top good luck and we start our match Top 16 Travis Hansen Lightning/Fire Rush Game 1: This was easily our best game. We went back and forth, he hit forth I think and I eventually got one time where I drew 6 or so cards with futaba and reanimation and it was downhill for him from there. Game 2: This game was a complete joke. He starts sasuke gama KNS and negates my mission. I had no answer for how fast his deck was (I also mulled to 4). Game 3: I had a lot of control this game. I hit ino playful I think and that slowed him down as well as I hit will of youth on turn 1 so he wasn’t able to play a jutsu the whole game. Problem was, neither was I. I was never able to draw a dragon flame. I had 2 negate jutsu’s in hand majority of the game. But eventually he drops turn 5 naruto tbm and starts killing things so I lay Karin and heal for the futaba draw and forgot he had naruto. I also forgot to go into danzo one turn too late. Basically he is pushing me he is at 6 and I am as well. Eventually I play shikamaru’s decision and I search KNS so I will draw 2 cards and I also get to look at my deck. I see that I have hydro pump and dragon flame in my deck. The other 2 dragon flame are in my BRs (facepalm) So I Think as long as I can draw 1 of these 2 out of the draw 8 I have on the field with reanimation and futaba I win. I go into itachi pain (for mastery) and swing 3 big teams. I go along with my reanimations and heal everything and on the last draw 2 I draw hydro pump. I proceed to play it thinking I win. And he points to my will of youth. Yeah that was my bad. Also a few turns back I even thought about hinaing it. So from there I scooped my cards I think because unless I drew that dragon flame I would lose. Great game travis. (NEVER GOT A JUTSU OFF THE WHOLE GAME :/) Pros Played OTK for funzies Sold 2 Susanos to scott.. TnT monzies Zombies before we left Going 6-1-1 3 people from our car topping Cons OTK fail, both days -__- My brother losing to Jose off a play mistake ME losing to my own card Being a jerk to tom Steak and Shake is gross but I love it.. Being sick And last but not least. My deck list is up already…
