It really wasn't pathetic that he was OBITO, but I'm far more comfortable with him being Izuna.
As for the Hokage involved, I vote the 2nd.
Also, I really believe that the foundations of Konoha are messed up.

A:Not really, after the way he survived is revealed and what he tries to truly achieve, everyone will change, the truth will hurt a lot of them, it will actually change the history that they know.

Q:What do you mean by that? How will it hurt them?
A:The truth is dark and bloody. Madara is related to why Tobi was supposed to die, you could say that what he wants is revenge, but his brother isn't the only who wanted to kill Tobi, one of the Hokage played a big part in the attempt on his life.

Q:What else?What is going to happen in this fight?
A:You know, Tobi always had this forbidden technique prepared, I wanted him to use it only after his identity is revealed. If you thought that Kabuto's technique for reincarnating people is dangerous, you should see what Tobi prepared.

Q:Why did Izuna hide his identity?
A:Because some of the Akatsuki already know what Madara did to Izuna, they know because someone told them, and they wouldn't be willing to help Izuna. I'm afraid I can't answer any more of your questions, but I'm hoping you will be patient, in the next weeks everything will be revealed.

First, I really hope this is real. I liked the idea of Izuna as Tobi a LOT more than Obito as Tobi.

Second, this gives me a lot of ideas for theories. Do you think there are more Uchiha out there? Maybe when Madara was abandoned by the clan, some of them left with him, creating a separate faction of the Uchiha clan outside of Konoha. And what about this technique Tobi has? Maybe he can transform himself into dead people similarly to how Orochimaru and Kabuto transform corpses into other people with edo tensei. That could be why he appears to be Obito.


If the interview is a hoax and Tobi really is Obito, I don't think his motivation has anything to do with Kakashi. The idea that he started an entire war just to get back at him is ridiculous. His motivation would have to be much deeper than that to turn the Obito from Kakashi Gaiden into the Obito we have now.

problem being he helped with killing the clan, and he totally made peace with dying. and when the boulder first fell on him the first thing kakashi did was try and get it off and he was all "nah bro, im dead. but i got a present for you". he had to convince them to leave him

seriously, to all you people guessing its because he's mad he was abandoned, he WASN'T. He. Made. Them. Leave.

only thing i agree with is that somehow, some way, orochimaru is involved because he really does seem to have a hand in everything. when sasuke beat him he was probably all "all according to plan bwahahaha"

they are 6 years apart and anko became a chuunin when she was 6 years older than kakashi. so that actually does match up. the problem is when they are all at the academy together looking seemingly the same age and them all looking more or less the same age at the chuunin exam. seriously, i think kishimoto forgot how old they were


seriously, look at the page kakashi beat guy on...he looks as tall/taller than kakashi gaiden when he was supposedly 6-7 years older.

no, its dumb because not only does it make no sense but also because he was making it almost too obvious while at the same time acting like its some big secret. and if that interview, which i doubt is real, actually is true then he's even worse because that isnt a good plot twist, thats straight up LYING to us. giving us false information isnt good writing. giving us hints as to who it is, maybe giving evidence that suggests it could be one of a few people and then making a reveal, thats how you do it right.

giving us several chapters of obito hints with tobi talking to kakashi about him standing in front of graves, guy going "look bro, i think its him too" and showing they have the same mangekyou then giving us an entire chapter of obito flashbacks and then outright saying "its obito everyone, wut a big secrut reveeled lololol!" and then at the same time going "nope, jk its someone completely different" just makes it worse

worst theory ever, movies aren't canon. and what do you mean he did nothing, kakashi did as much fighting as obito in that battle and i doubt he was going "yup, its all me guys, no help here". kakashi is more respectful then that. he ****ing goes to his grave at like dawn everyday reminiscing.

While this would make me happy (i called that it was izuna a long time ago.) I seriously doubt the validity of this interview. I agree with Minato, they better explain the hell out of this one. As far as I can see though, there is no logical explanation as to what happened to make him this way, which is why I can see his 'revenge' motif being for some hissy fit reason. I never like obito a whole lot (he was just kinda 'meh'), and this isn't helping.

What if it is obito, and he's still lying back and forth, he's not the true leader of akatsuki he's just good with words to make everyone believe he is. he joined akatsuki, as did itachi, and its all apart of some uchiha conspiracy.

I wonder how the rennigan came to be. it seems uchiha's who lose their eyes are getting them.next time we see an itachi resurrection, watch him end up with rennigan. or watch sasuke end up with rennigan and one of his paths is itachi lol

this manga just went to complete poop. awful climax to an already declining story. I doubt there will be any saving naruto now.....it needs to end soon so it can at least finish being one of the most loved manga's of all time.......terrible kishi.... just terrible.

why do you think this was the climax? The fight with Tobito isn't over, Madara isn't gone yet, Orochimaru is back to terrorize the world, and Sasuke is still in the process of bringing someone really old back from the dead. .
