This is my post-rotation Lava Control Deck, r/f please. I want this deck to be as awesome as possible. It's my first time playing control again in quite some time. My main control is in chakra control as well as ninja effect control. The Utakata is to seach out Hidan to get an extra drop on turn 4, as well as just help me set up chakra for jutsus. Shiho is to help set up Sasuke to negate jutsu as well as just help me switch cards. Thanks and please rate!!!

Having Temari Wind Scythe in your deck is going to make things hairy for paying handcosts later on. I'd take her out for 2 Tsukado. Also, you have too many 5 drops. I'd take out Darui and Kurenai and make room for a couple turn 4 ninjas, maybe a couple Asumas, idk right now. I'd take out the Bravery's for 2 Deflection and just take out the Vapor Fog. It only has one user, while Lava Monster at least has two users (Shika and Mizukage). Lastly, I'd take out both Arrogance's and Clear Sky to put in 3 Leaf Councils, an extra Warhawk, and 2 Mysterious Warrior.

I've never really had a problem with the wind scythe, as a matter of fact there have hilariously been quite a few times where my second is used to pay for my kurenai, but I might try Tsukado just to see how beastly he does in this. I do agree my deck is a bit heavy on turn 5 ninjas but that's due to my line up of control. I also don't really know any good Turn 4 ninja for this deck that are fire/water/earth and if for Asuma which one?
I do like the idea of deflection I totally forgot that card, that's a great piece of advice.

I do agree Vapor Style does need to go it's kind of filler right now and it's just dumb luck when I am able to pull it off (regardless of how devastating it can be)

Thanks for the advice, if you got anymore please keep it coming!

In the Set 24 earth starter there is an Asuma reprint. His effect is when he's put in play you search your deck for a shikamaru and put him in your hand. This will allow you to consistently have a user for lava monster by turn 5 at the latest as well as just having Asuma as a big beater. Also, it gives you the option of squading into Shika-Asuma, which is an AMAZING squad by the way. I feel like Sasuke and Kisame are both good enough 5 drops honestly, you should be fine with 2 each of them and 2 mizukage.

I do like the idea of the Asuma, the only problem is this is a control theme, and Darui and Kurenai especially help lock down on my opponent. I know it's very heavy on turn 5 but it's because I feel like a lot of them are necessary for me to be able to control my opponent.

Well this is your deck so in the end you decide, I'm merely here to give suggestions. If in your meta games are going consistently to turn 7 and 8 then maybe it makes sense to run so many late game ninjas. Do what feels right.

Thanks, I am so glad to get feedback on this deck. I do agree my deck is very turn 5 heavy and I really wish I could go down by at least 2 members in total but I'm having a hard time with that. I feel each one is necessary to cause the control of my deck even if they didn't show up in some games.
Question: with all the mods you suggested I was surprised to not see you say for me to remove The Mist Council, I find it to be a very weak card but sadly the only council I can afford/find right now. Do you feel that Mist Council has good qualities?

Well first of all it had all the elements in your deck, making it ideal for handcosts and jutsus too. Plus it discards chakra, which is part of the theme of your deck. That effect is the only reason I would ever play Mist Council.
