Kage Deck or Kages in Decks
So, now that we have seen all of our new Kages (barring next set's cheesy Danzo), and all of their jutsus, what do folks think? Is the current meta going to support a 5 Kages.dec, or are more people likely to just spice up standing decks, using an individual Kage's power and jutsus to tarry their opponent? Personally, I don't know if the game will support a rainbow deck format, or even most of the elements (more than 2); what do you all think? Are you going to build a deck around 3+ Kages, or just slip one into a deck you already have?

I can tell you from playtesting with my friend that mizukage and particle jutsu are troubling cards lol.
Byakugan needs to get hit/nuff said |

On topic: Kage deck can work. I proxied and playtested. It's a tad bit slower than I hoped, but once you get to T3 (Ink Bat/Sand Council into TP4 Kazekage, prepare search for Atomic Dismantling), it's your game. Especially if you wait until your T6. Drop ANY of the Kage. Win. |

I'm just going to be adding 5th Kazekage and 3rd Tsuchikage to my mono wind deck. Considering Raikage as well. Tri-element kages make them so easy to splash

While I suppose they share numerous elements, overall, how well did it work having that many 6 drops? I don't seem to remember too many ways to ping the EC down, other than the old Konohamaru, who is OLD, and I notice that, in my own various decks, I focus a bit more on the 5-drops, with the 1-2 6-drops being the cleanup team (1-2 characters, maybe multiple copies of each), if needed.
Sage/TB: (9) 2 Jiraiyas, 2 4th Hokages, Gamabunta, 4-Tails rein, 6-Tails Rein, the two Sage Modes Sharingan/Mill: (3) Susanoo Rein, Madara, Roshi, Puppets: (6) Sasori (PM rein), 2 3rd Kazekages, Tsunade, Sasori (PM), Sasori & 3rd KK (one's a Reinforcement, and another is a Platoon) Pain: (4) Nagato, 2 Devas, Manda Gaara: (5) 6th Hokage, 2 Shukakus, 2 Tsunade Water: (9) Sasuke & Orochimaru, Manda, 2 Orocimarus, Kabuto (Possessed), Hanzo, Orochimaru (Snake), 2 other Orochimaru Platoons (probably the most, and this is not one of my better decks; rarely gets played) Earth: (2) 1st Hokage, Hyuga Elder And these are Unlimited decks; if I sat down to build Block decks, I'd lose several of these in each deck, more than likely, and not have much of anything I'd want to replace them with. Once I have the stuff from Set 25 in hand (come on two weeks), I can sit down, and see what I've got, and I really look forward to the new additions. I'm kinda ignoring the Raikage, even though he seems to be one of the most powerful, but I really like Gaara, and have some high hopes for Mei and Onoki to bring some suffering down, whether scattered in my current decks, or in a composite of their own. I'll be even happier in August, when the new Tsunade, Samurai, and hopefully the mega-powerhouse Danzo will come out, and then I'll have some fun. |

Unless something happens to Dragon Flame and/or Ink Leech, I don't see the meta changing that much. The game is still decided by turn 3 or 4 even if it isn't literally won on that turn. As nice as the Kages are, it's still a rush meta and getting to turn 6 can be hard. Also, I think Hydro-Pump needs to go. From my understanding Forth and Pump on turn 2 is wrecking far to much.

Kage decks are feasible, but would not be competitive, however you can easily run 1-3 kages in a deck without an issue and be able to drop one at least. Their value as handcosts alone shouldn't be underestimated.
