North Florida Players (Tallahassee)
So, I attend FSU and there's nowhere close to play Naruto. This is an issue. Nowhere in north Florida, south Georgia or *shudders* south Alabama. I have about 10 friends who love to play but we have no way to get competitive because of a lack of tournaments. One of the friends is willing to become a Meijin but we don't have a store to play in. There's a building at FSU called the Student Life Center (SLC) where medium sized fighting game tournaments are held and we were thinking that Bandai might approve of that as a venue. Other than trying to find some more players I'd like to know if anyone has ever been in a situation like this before, not having a store to play in but having a player base willing to play? Also, I'd be willing to be a Meijin, what are the requirements and how can I get this started?

Information on becoming a Mejin and submitting your location can be found here.
I believe you will need to contact the facilitator for the Student Life Center in order to get permission. There is a section that will need to be filled out with the contact information. I would suggest submitting the information and going through the process. I know there are tournaments ran from locations other than a local card or hobby store. I have seen tournaments in public libraries and Barnes and Nobles. The people that run Organized Play are great to work with and will help you get set up. |
