Mendo's Ongoing tourney

Ok so this is a bit tough without the pics so I'm gonna try my best and hope I don't miss anyone or mix ppl's cards up. Sry if i do ahead of time. I'm also just gonna do quick judging this week cause of so many entries and it being so hard to look at the pics.

Venkelos
Total: 17.5/25
Bit blurry, rough upper bar render, lacking drop shadow from upper bar, looks like too many spaces after Exchange. Overall creativity is ok. I mean its a thought up idea but hasn't been used like that yet. Overall playability and enhancement to Lightning as an element is mediocre though, because it is restricted to only Ninja Toads or Oil users(naruto/jiraiya/4th) to use which ignored a good chunk of lightning ppl that could really use that help. Plus it means you have to run Ninja Toads/Animals in your deck and hope you hit both at the right time. If anything I think the idea would have been better exhibited in Mission format.

Pic and Text are perfect. Creativity is pretty good but not full score. Effect, I feel the second effect is probably a bit too good. Cause i mean your essentially getting +1 filtered(selected) chakra, at no cost to your hand, heck you get to improve your hand and filter your deck more also. So this could lead to not only some really mean combos but also just plain amazing filter system. Only reason I'm not slamming an absolutely unbalanced sticker on him is cause it does come at the cost of what it probably your decks main character. Now as to playability and enhancement to Lighting it would help it draw very much so and build chakra a lot easier. This along with michiru would just be psycho.

"Growth", "Entrance cost", "Jutsus", "Sannin", wrong font for effect name by the looks of it and bad alignment. Pictures good but it looks like you use stroke instead of Outer glow, which in some cases can make a card look really bad, but this ones fine so no points lost dont worry. You should really get a card number and Set symbol, i know i seems like they're not needed but we're trying to make real looking cards. Now onto the effect, it is unbalanced. I mean, instantly your gonna ignore the hand cost by growthing, meaning you now have a 6/3 9/3 in play on turn 4, though I admit the not valid to that does make it a bit tougher. Then from there, once he does get injured turn 3 and less cant use jutsus, well thats a big FU any rush style, or bash to some of the more requiring decks like earth loses most of their shadow users. Then the last effect I can't figure out, why sannin? Wouldn't Satoosa be more fitting if your going for that type of thing? But I'm not gonna fight you on Satoosa/Sannin, jsut gonna say that opens up many more jutsus to use along with all the naruto required ones that will be going crazy. Creativity, is ok.... its sorta a replay on some old cards. Now as to playability, well either you growth him into a 6/39/3 or you dont really want to play him, which shouldnt be a case with the main character of a deck, so that hurts playability. And its not quite a boost the element more of yet another naruto card type thing. Oh, and one side thing, no points lost, making the Name white doesnt really look good in online card form, you should stick to black text even if its a SR.

Ninja Pebble
Total: 21/25
"Then,", "becomes", "Jutsu card", "can" not may, "Battling". Pics good, Fonts good, Effects not too unbalanced, pic doesn't quite fit the effect name but its a hard to find character pic so its forgivable. Creativity, I like this much better than the real card, and overall its a darn good idea. Playability, seems like a good playable card not quite enough to make lighting a super playable element but fetching a jutsus nice. Then going for extra damage along with it helps, but he's not OC'ed so that could be troublesome.

Kakashi is cut off majorly, No outline no drop shadow, can't properly see the symbols, Textbar is see through and breaking, text box is too see through, EC and HC are roughly cut. Effect name font looks wrong. Effects not bad. Creativity, idea's been thought of before. Playability, is ok, i mean rasengans already got enough users so this isnt quite what lightning needs.

Total: 15.5/25
Bad outline, no drop shadow, cut off pic, random junk on upper right side, no quotes on flavor text. Fonts arent done right. "can" not may. Effect wordings have tons of errors. Effects pretty good though overall. Creativity, is pretty good. Turn 5 genin isnt a good idea though that part makes this card a bit busted. Now as to how this would effect lighting, i dont think it would quite make it be the element to play. Once again, just another good naruto. That helps himself.

Alright guys its time for some big Change. First off this Tourney is moving back over to the original site it came from because this site doesn't have pictures which is sorta against the point of a pic tourney.

Secondly, there the Fully Capitalize Active Characteristics rule is not in effect. That means on Ninjas things like AMBUSH, GROWTH, SURGE, etc should all be all caps now, ok?

Also sry blurry, and aurelio you only posted your cards on the other site so they got missed this week, but i still gave you points for the bonus and no X's against not participating.

So please head this way for the next week of Mendo's weekly.
