ok i need a second opinion on a ruling that laughing_man gave me on whether or not u can run
2 ino playful N-1039 in a main deck while having for example 2 ino pressing N-? in a side deck .....laughing man says you cant do this....but during the modesto ca jump and/or both chunnins last year, among the people who got deck checked in top 8 were doing something similar ....i also asked the judge himself and he said as far as i know you can do this ...so i NEED a second opinion on this because too many people say you can while i was told by a mod u cant because deck and side are together when it comes to how many copies of the same card u can have....which is (3)...PLZ HELP this is what i got back from laughing man the first time: http://www.bandai.com/naruto/showthread.php?t=93700 |

You wrote: "ok if im running 2 ino [Pressing] in my deck can i side 2 ino [Playful] ..im " If I was reading this, then I would interpret that as you saying that you wanted to put your 2 Ino - playful cards in your sideboard into your deck without taking any of the Ino - Pressing cards out. That is probaby why LM wrote: "No more than 3 copies of a card with the same name in a single deck." You obviously can't have more than 3 Ino cards in your deck at any time. Thus, if you wanted to put in your 2 Ino -playful cards from your sideboard, then you would have to take out from the main deck one of your Ino - pressing cards and put it in your sideboard. Thus, keeping the total number of Ino cards in your deck at a max of 3. ------------ You also wrote: "asking this because i thought u can only have 3 of the same ninja in a deck including side deck" LM responded with this: "No more than 3 of the same card can be present in a single deck and sideboard combined." I'm pretty sure LM said this because he wanted to clarify that you can't have more than 3 of any particular card NUMBER in your deck and sideboard combined. To clarify what that means, you can't have 3 ino playful N-1039 and also have 3 ino playful N-1039 in your sideboard. There really isn't a reason that you would ever want to do this, but it's mainly ruled that way to prevent incidents of cheating where someone might otherwise try to side in and be running 6 of the same card number. ------------ Does that clear things up? |
