Most recent update: 3/30/13 Tournament Tips A slightly tweaked version of the post by Shino'sDad below, here's a guide to what you'll want for your first tourney. Follow it for your first Chunin or SJC, or maybe even your local if it's prosperous enough. Quote:

Originally, MJM did the card lists, but once during Set 20 he was banned, so Shino'sDad took over, only to be banned as well, so i stepped up. From there I kinda just took over. Mostly only cause im fast, since i'm always lurking the site somewhere. |

How should a new player handle their first tournament? Well their first tournament being a Chunin? I'm sorry if this post doesn't belong here >.<

Here's a quote from Shino's Dad that (after some trimming) I hope to include in the guide: Quote:

Thank you for the help. I didn't know I could write down the cards I see in my opponents hand. If I use a card effect that allows that.
Again thank you so much for the help. I'm not sure if this should be posted in Q&A, but I'll try it here. What channels are useful to learn the meta and tournament reviews and such. I have tried numerous sites ,but nothing that makes a lot of sense. Thank you. Twinheart Last edited by Twinheart : 02-07-2012 at 09:01 PM. |

I subscribe to "2ezForums" on Y0utube. They post deck reviews, reviews on cards and previews, and the meta in general. Here's the most recent video, so you can subscribe Also, the notes thing, you can write stuff down, but make sure to shorten it. For example write "Pump" instead of "Hydro Pump" or "4th" rather then "The 4th Hokage" Whatever nicknames you want, but dont write out entire card names. |

Yo new guy
yo, twinheart dude, you sound like me. I recently joined my first chunin, and I was stressed like heck! anyway, i made sure my deck was great, and i went with the people who taught me naruto and my brother. I was pretty much with friends.
if you dont freak out, you will end up doing really well, like me, who got 5th and was able to play agianst Kevin. So just calm down, make sure you practice, and keep your cool. If youre going to the chunin cuz you know youre good, you will do good. Good luck!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
