i was under the impression taht monsters research moves the other cards to yoru discard pile, not discards them...as in there is a diffrence in the game terms "move" and "discard"

This is actually a useful tool for pointing out that "Moving" and straight discarding are not the same, since "Moving" and straight drawing are not the same.

So if moving a card to my hand isn't drawing a card, then it would only make sense for the sake of being uniform across the rules that moving a card to my discard isn't the same as discarding from deck.
