Revised Forum Rules (12/09/11)

Welcome to the official site for the Naruto CCG.

The staff strives to frequently moderate the board, forums, and posts to a standard set forth by Bandai US. By posting on this board, you agree to all that is noted below.

The board rules are as follows:

1.0 General

1.0.1 This site is for a mixed audience, behave in a manner that is fitting for children to view & conduct yourself with the utmost decorum and with respect toward others at all times. The general rule: if you wouldn’t say it in front of your boss, then don’t say it at all.

1.0.2 "Flaming" or other personal attacks are not permitted. Engaging in such behavior will result in an immediate suspension of no less than 7 days. Repeated offenses will result in a permanent ban. This includes, but is not limited to:

A) Racial slurs
B) Bigoted statements regarding race, gender, sexual preference, or religious creed.
C) Profanity (including using symbols or numbers to circumvent the forum's censoring)
D) Demeaning or otherwise disruptive behavior directed at other forum members.
E) “Trolling”, or attempting to derail conversations or post anything that is off-topic or that has nothing to do with the Naruto CCG.

1.0.3 Encouragement to commit any crime against the laws of the United States is forbidden.

1.0.4 Exchange of personal information publicly--such as an address (email or street), telephone number, or any other means to identify you, your location, or the location and identity of another forum member is forbidden.

1.0.5 No alliances, clans or teams: There is no alliance, clan or team discussions on this board, most of these types of posts and groups end up causing various problems and huge amounts of spam.

1.0.6 Account names must also conform to these rules. If an account is created with the express purpose of breaking any of the forum rules, or the account name breaks the forum rules, the account will be closed and the offender will be given a permanent ban.

2.0 Advertising.

2.0.1 Company advertising is not permitted. In addition, attempting to trade or sell cards, goods, or services on these forums is also not permitted.


3.0 Links

3.0.1 This web site is bound by COPPA ([url]http://www.coppa.org)[/url], the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act.

3.0.2 Posts, links, or references related to or encouraging child ****ography, sexual behavior, or other posts of this nature will result in an immediate permanent ban.

3.0.3 No linking to websites that have not been previously approved by Moderators or Administrators. This especially means websites that discuss or otherwise make available illegal methods of viewing copyrighted materials.


4.0 Spamming

4.0.1 Spam is forbidden. This includes, but is not limited to:

4.0.1.1 Posting messages simply to increase your post count.

4.0.1.2 Posting messages which are off-topic for the forum in which they have been posted.

4.0.1.3 Bumping. Bumping threads is not allowed.

4.0.1.4 Posting messages with overly-large text or disruptive fonts.

4.0.1.5 Posting messages to topics (threads) that have not been posted to within the last 14 days (2 weeks). This is also refered to as "Thread Necromancy" or "Bringing a Thread back from the Dead."

4.0.1.6 We do not condone the posting of “Pack Tricks”. By purchasing a pack of randomly assorted cards, you are agreeing to purchase a pack of randomly packed cards. attempting to circumvent that may be beneficial to you in the short run but it discourages other people from buying and will ultimately hurt the game as a whole.

4.0.1.7 Any form of signature at the bottom of any non-moderator’s post will be considered spam.

4.0.1.8 Quoting Spam will be considered the same as posting it and will be dealt with in the same way.

5.0 Reporting

5.0.1 Users breaking the rules in a post may be reported to a moderator by using the "Report Bad Post" option at the top of each post. Please do not try to resolve the problem yourself, but let a moderator attend to it. Please do not abuse the reporting system. If you attempt to resolve the problem yourself, this may lead to flaming, which is prohibited.


6.0 Private Messaging System.

6.0.1 The board rules extend to the Private Messaging System as well. Private Messages, are by definition private. If you feel a user is abusing the Private Messaging System, please forward the private message in question to a moderator and explain your concern.

7.0 Warning System

7.0.1 Warnings

7.0.1.1 The moderators maintain a list of users that have broken board rules and their associative infractions. A message is PM'd to the user explaining that the user has been warned, why they are warned, and what level of severity the warning is. Repeated warnings of the same or other infractions is cause for an immediate ban of a term determined by the moderating staff.

7.0.2 Offenses. If your post breaks any of the following rules, it will be removed, and you will receive a Warning as noted in 7.0.1.1:

7.0.2.1 Rudeness and/or disrespect toward Forum Leaders is not allowed. Forum Leaders include Administrators, Moderators, and any misc. staff. The forum is updated and maintained for your use.

7.0.2.2 Personal threads that ask for specific members to respond are prohibited. Please use the Private Messaging (PM) system for such concerns.

7.0.2.3 Bypassing the filters by altering the word slightly, whether it is with spaces, or any other symbols, is also against the rules.

7.0.2.4 Spamming in any way that falls under items in section 4.0.

7.0.3 Immediate Suspension or IP Ban

7.0.3.1 The moderators and staff have the right to immediately suspend an account upon futher review depending on the violation.

7.0.3.1.1 If you make multiple accounts without the explicit written permission of a Moderator or Administrator, you will be banned

7.0.3.1.2 If you flagrantly or repeatedly violate the rules, you may also be banned without warning.

7.0.3.1.3 Lewd or obscene remarks will not be tolerated under any cir****tances. This site is frequented by young children, and we acknowledge that. Also, many older people may find lewd comments very offensive, even if you do not.

7.0.3.1.4 Racist or prejudiced remarks will not be tolerated. The possibility of members of varying races, creeds and beliefs may come here. Be aware of this fact and act accordingly.


8.0 Legal

8.0.1 Discussions of software which violate trademarks and copyrights by using scanned card pictures to play online card games is prohibited.

8.0.2 No discussions of fansubs, scanslations, you tube episodes, downloads, or any other method of illegally viewing copyrighted materials. Naruto is a licenced product in all its forms, and as such any media outside of purchasing the licensed product is considered illegal. Anime Music Videos, which also use these copyrighted images, as well as copyrighted music are also a topic that is not allowed to be discussed on these forums.
