Missions with double symbols are more important to deck synergy than ninja with double symbols. At least to me.

Personally, I think the more double-, and even newer triple-symbol, missions/ninja/jutsu we get, the more similar decks will become.
IE monster research: amazingly amazing card, that has two of the more splashable (mostly water) symbols in the game. I often find myself saying, "How can I play more whatever symbol so I can use these good cards. Personally, I think this narrows the meta, rather than making each element have it's own pros/cons. Why would I play a new monofire mission if I can splash some water into my deck and play struggle/makeout/research? Essentially, the more splashable a card, the more widely playable that card is. I hope we don't start seeing top 8's being like: Oh! mental, animal, water/x, wind/x and fire/x all topped, but they were all 8 cards different off of each other. >o> |

A lot of folks have been trying to make 3-5 Element decks for a while, ever since all three Sannin and all five Hokage were released. While the desire to utilize all of these powerful cards at once is understandable, most of what's been put together ranges from the impractical to the downright unplayable.
The plethora of dual-element cards now available, and the introduction of the game's first tri-element card back in Tales, opens up some interesting possibilities. Even so, there are certain factors that must be present to ultimately make such a deck work, not the least of which is effect synergy, something most of the high-level cards players try to integrate into these decks tend to lack. Dual-element builds with some splash is one thing, but creating a decent elemental balance beyond that is quite the task, even with multi-element cards. While the eventual possibility exists, it will probably be some time before something like this becomes practical. |
