Valid Situation?
Ok. On my field is Last Words (M-758), Pain (Asura Path) (N-1203), and Hidan (N-1013). During the EOJ, i activate Asura Paths effect, giving him enough -1/-1 coins to give ALL of my opponent's ninjas 3 coins each (let's say he has 6 ninjas with 0, so I give 18). Since he has no target to injure, battle concludes like that. End of turn, I activate Last Words effect, sending it to chakra. I chain with Asura Path's mandatory effect, and Hidan distributes his coins, giving all my opponents ninjas 3 -1/-1 coins, which allows Last Words to discard them all due to its effect.
My question is, is this situation a valid one, or did I mistakingly make Hidan too powerful a piece of this puzzle? If it's not valid, can I get the reasons why? Also, no rush on this one, I just want to know whether or not to tell a teammate about an awesome potential field wipe for his neg coin deck. |

Quote:
1.) Activate Asura's effect placing coins equal to X, where X is equal to the opponents TOTAL ninjas times three, thereby NOT injuring anything unless it has an INSANELY high entrance cost. 2.) End turn. 3.) Start chain Send "Last Words" to chakra. 4.) Chain with Asura's MANDATORY second effect. Let chain resolve. 5.) Hidan then REDISTRUBTES the same coins Asura had on him when he got discarded to give ALL of your opponents ninjas 3 -1/-1 coins EACH. 6.) Last Words resolves, discarding all ninjas with 3 or more -1/-1 coins on them, which in this case is ALL your opponents ninjas due to the combination of ninja effects. And can I get Tylar or Faris Kalin to answer? They seem to be more accurate, read the entire question, explain why/why not, and just overall seem to know what they're talking about more. |

I saw it get answered but I have a problem with it. Asura Path's effect says "Valid:EOJ:Plaxe X -1/-1 coins on this ninja. Injure target opposing ninja with an EC of X."
If it targeted, wouldn't it say so before the cost is payed? This ruling is ridiculous. But thank you for clarifying Hidans effect. Now I know not to burn 60+ bucks on a deck with one very specific win condition. Last edited by Sai'ix Renkai : 08-25-2011 at 01:52 PM. |
