Clone Tactics errata j727 vs. pr072 Attunement Naruto rulings
j727 Errata: Effect: Put a copy of the target on the chain. (User and target remain the same as the original Jutsu) When this Jutsu resolves it will add an identical copy of the target onto the chain, with the user and targets being the same as the original Jutsu. Since this new Jutsu is added on resolution, it will be the next Jutsu to resolve since the chain is already resolving, effectively the "clone" Jutsu that is created will resolve before the Jutsu it is a clone of. Player A plays Jutsu A. Player A plays Clone Jutsu targetting Jutsu A. Clone Jutsu resolves adding Jutsu B to the chain that is an exact copy of Jutsu A and having the same user and targets as Jutsu A. Jutsu B is now the next Jutsu on the chain so it resolves. Finally Jutsu A resolves. Effect [ATTUNEMENT] When this Ninja is deployed, you can attach 1 Jutsu card from your hand to this Ninja. Valid: During the Exchange of Jutsu, you can pay X Chakra, where X = the cost of the Jutsu attached to this Ninja. In that case, add a copy of the attached Jutsu to the chain with this Ninja as the user (select targets as normal). There are two things I want to address here: 1. Why is the text entry on the link above different from the picture of the card (which says "2 Chakra" not the italicised part above)? 2. Referencing the underlined portions above, and the emboldened portion of the errata clarification to j727 clone tactics, why do these two cards function differently, as in the clarification a jutsu that is added to the chain on resolution will resolve next, and not create a new chain as has been previously ruled? TL;DR: Since clone tactics' errata and clarification make it work similarly to Naruto [Attunement], I want to know why, especially since I would prefer for Attunement to work like Clone Tactics as it would make his ability closer to what appeared to be the intent of the card in the first place. 2. pr072 and j727 should be ruled the same. j727 errata will be updated to reflect the current ruling.

I agree that both should function the same, but my question is which one works like the other? Does pr072 still make a new chain, or resolve on creation?

They both create a new chain.
