Newbie need help wanted.

Hello. My name is Cold Skin. As you can see. I am a newbie in the Naruto ccg. I have played this game since 2008. The reason I wasn't playing Naruto at the time was because I was playing Magic the Gathering. But now I am getting bored or Magic, and decided to play Naruto again. So I would really appreciate it if people would help me out here. Thank you.

I do not know if this thread is good in this area also. Lol.

I want to know what sets to buy from block.
When is blocked.
Is there any particular sleeves and colors of sleeves i should get. People are telling me to get Ultra Pro, Max Protection, or Player's Choice sleeves. and that they have to be either pink or white. Why those colors? I don't know. Maybe you can tell me why.
Also. How should I start off my Naruto collection. I had bought the Pain deck. I was really surprised that it was an only 30 card deck, and it came with 2 Shattered Truth Booster packs. I thought it was an awsome thing.
People that I know from my locals are telling me to buy only boxes, no booster packs, and don't buy single. Why? I don't know either. But they are telling me to buy the new Chibi pack for Nagato super.
If there are any other advice or tips that you guys can give me. Please do so.

I want someone who can help me become a better player later on in the future.

sleeves dont matter there just a matter of preference.
id deffinatly invest in set 22. its going to be detrimental in playing this game because it gives you everything your going to be building on for a long time. and also block format is sets 19-current. so what i would do, is look at all the cards from set 19 and up find things you want to get for a deck that you plan on running and buy them as singles. itll save you alot of money. and make sure your reading the forums oftain to see what other people are going to be playing. if you dont know what the comps packen then youll be the first to get gged.

As of the end of Gencon, the following sets will be legal: 19, TP2, 20, 21, TP3. Set 22 will be legal 3 weeks from release (so around august 26th I think). Buying boxes of 21 and 22 are your best options since you will get the best things to trade with.
Sleeves you wanna talk to someone else, I just buy the "random for a dollar" deal on trollandtoad.com
Speaking of, singles are GREAT purchases. If you absolutely need a certain super rare or something, it's better to order it online then to gamble with packs.

yeah im not a fan of block, in fact i dont even play block for my decks... So I cant help yuou out there, but Sleeves i usually buy from ultra pro or random for a dollar like he said
also yeah 21 22 is good sets. that and the chibi packs

The only thing that has majorly changed is that there are no more clients, new element called void, and characteristics that add an additional effect: ambush, surge, mastery, sacrifice, non-unique, and senjutsu.

You want to play a Pain deck then I suggest going void/fire or wait for this set and go void/earth. For cards price wise ebay is the best then troll and toad. If you want help with a deck list I can help with that also.
