I like the art work on the card
![]() this version of the clone is IMO done the way that a naruto clone should have been done. Non-Unique should have been a given. But that is not all that great unless you have a way to put him in play other than deploy. Seriously, who wants to drop this guy on t2 when you already did on t1. If I am not mistaken, he does not have growth.... On t2 I would rather drop KNS or the new Iruka. Then drop a bigger naruto on t3. This clone is what lightning needs to ensure a good ninja curve. It limits the luck-sacking that it would have had without it. Keep it up bandai. So far I am pleased with the set as a whole and definitely intend to buy a few boxes (if not a case) so long as the supers are worth it. Zabuza is decent, but I need some more convincing from the other supers. |

Naruto's Clone gets a big upgrade in the latest preview.
While some may gripe about losing dual-element status, think of what you gain here - a Non-Unique Ninja that searches for any Uzumaki clansman. So yes, one can easily look up either Naruto or Kushina - making this card an absolute must for Tailed Beast and Toad decks. Moreover, he's got decent stats for turn 1, and Clone Status will give him access to certain Jutsus and effects (though Naruto-specific effects are out due to the name difference and no "Name: Naruto Uzumaki" characteristic). Of course, what's really exciting here is the prospect of using the Clone to look up future Uzumaki clansmen (those of you following the manga know what I'm talking about). While the possibility exists that this card will have been well-past rotated out by the time Naruto's ancestors are released, this Clone is still far more versatile than the original. |
