You guys REALLY need a better editor!

What was added?

Hydro Pump to 1: One of the more hotly contested points not just to you but to us as well. After researching and gathering opinions and quantifiable data, it has been found that Hydro Pump is a “play me or play against me” type of card. Not only is it a 1-for-2 in a game that strictly reinforces its curve based play, but it is also generically playable by every element. In many ways, Hydro Pump is similar to 2 other cards that have been banned previously: Water Dragon, a card that was meta warping in the same way as Hydro Pump (play me or play against me) was also generically playable due to its low specific cost. Shizune & Tonton is another card that comes to mind while I was thinking about Hydro Pump, due to the fact that the card was originally intended for a certain deck/element, but was quickly scooped up by the decks it was meant to be played against and was integrated in. Hydro Pump has proven to be a card that forces players to play a certain style, and a card that dominates in a way not seen since Water Dragon was legal. Limiting it to 1 would not have changed anything, as it typically takes only 1 Pump to push a game far enough into 1 sides favor to end the game quickly.

this is from the rogue list FAQ thing.

Tylar didnt bother to edit his reasoning just because I guess he didnt want the top players harrasing who ever was responsible for the change back to one.

Was left that way so people could reference what happened b4 vs what happened after. Ignoring other reasons for it as well.
