2. How did Omoi even see the threads in the first place. I thought they were supposed to be invisible to the naked eye.
remember when kank first arrived on the scene and was picking on kono? remember how he moved his fingers and tripped naruto? there was nothing visible. i don't think the strings have enough chakra to be visible to the naked eye. omoi probably just made an educated guess on where the strings were

of course it may also be something else we aren't aware of yet.

no biggee. to answer number 1, I'd say that it's because A: the strings ARE invisible, it just shows the reader from time to time so we know what people are doing and aren't totally lost and B: puppet masters are deadly because, in a 1 on 1 fight, if you sever the strings, they can just reattach them, or even attach strings to YOU. plus, it's hard to fight against a ranged opponent in general unless you yourself have range. from what we've seen a majority of ninjas in the series are, at most, mid range fighters. very few long range experts.

for number 2, see below.

correct! since they were on opposite sides of omoi, that by default meant that sasori would have to be either relatively ahead of or behind omoi, omoi could see that sasori was not in front of him, so he swung behind, banking on the fact that sasori was somewhere behind him (there is also the fact that, in general, chakra strings are attached to the back side of the puppet). I doubt it's 'something we aren't aware of yet'.

know what i want to know? sasori is capable of controlling 100 puppets at once...why not take control of all his enemies? he's never really done that <the aburame guy was pretty much done for already>. i mean i imagine it can be fought against so using it on an ally who wont fight it <like chiyo and sakura or sasori and shin> is best, but i imagine it would at least slow them down a bit >_>

well, I imagine kankuro poses a problem with that since surely a fellow puppet master would be hard to control, let alone attach strings to since he knows how they work and what direction they'd come from. I mean, the strings are invisible to the naked eye, and kankuro STILL found them and yanked sasori down. kank is a beast at puppetry.

but yeah, I mean, why wouldn't he at least have attached a string to omoi's arm? he could have easily detached 1 from 1 of the guy's attacking him, and put it on omoi's arm, and TADA! omoi would be dead right now. which means diedara wouldn't have been deactivated, which means he would have blown up, which means sasori+diedara would have won. Probably that same unwritten magical rule of naruto that prevents face-chidori. what a shame. *shakes head. What a shame.
