Hmmm... Gaara would just throw sand in Kakashi's eyes then lock him in a sand prison to finish him off. HaHa.
but honestly, Gaara has the range/defense and kakashi has the taijutsu/ninjutsu locked but i can't imagine a winner.

Gaara, hands down. The guy has everything a girl wants in a ninja. He has range, defense, offense, overwhelming ninjutsu, flight and a tattoo. I love kakashi, my favorite characther hence the username, but it's a bad match up. Kakashi has many different types of jutsus but nothing over the top. Lightning dogs? Still, its his loss.

I could see where people say Gaara. But also, take in to consideration the experience that Kakashi has compared to Gaara.
Not saying Kakashi would win over Gaara, not saying Gaara would win. I think it'd be really close. Also depends on terrain :P
