in the show ep. 83 shippuden pain says that there are only 4 more tailed beasts left, but now if they are capturing the 6 tails right now in the show, that would mean at that point they really had five more left to catch, so thaat right there is an inconsistancy

I know but they could at least try to make it consistent, I'm really not that bothered by it because the filler is atleast decent, just thought it was an interesting fact

They probably didn't plan on having a Six Tails arc back when that episode was made, since this new arc is filler.

Ichibi, Nibi, Sanbi, Yonbi, Gobi have already been caught. That makes the Six Tails the next target.

So there is no consistency error at all, and it is infact that you do not possess second grade math skills.

I know too that they didn't plan on doing a 6 tails arc, so that is why there is an inconsistancy, but I've heard that they also plan on doing a 5 tails and 7 tails filler arc, after this one :/
